Best available at Edge and ILB. In that order, too.

I like the Texas Tech edge and I like their LB Rodriguez.

My Ducks have a pretty damn good line and they got dominated

On offense Bucs need a playmaking TE

Not gonna happen this year unless it's via FA. We can't afford to take a TE with first or second pick.

I know it's probably a pipe dream, but I'd love for the team to grab Kyle Pitts during FA (provided ATL doesn't use the franchise tag on him, which with a new coach could go either way).  I'd also like another early-ish round big bodied reciever for Mike to be able to keep the linage going of VJ/Evans/rookie, and show them the ropes for a year or two however much longer he keeps playing.

Agreed need a TE that can flex out on the boundary like Pitts or a big bodied WR to compliment McMillan, Godwin and Egbuka.

Bucs need to deck out the front 7. TE is a need too but Licht for what ever reason is dedicated to drafted Udub TEs.

agreed that’s why I suggested Pitts in FA.  He’d bring a speedy pass catching dynamic to hopefully pair with Evans,Godwin,Ebuka, and Bucky…that’s a lot of firepower and mismatches (provided you have someone that can actually utilize them). Not sure who you double cover in that situation

The way he finished he will get paid bigly by someone desperate.

Isn't Isaiah Likely a FA? Something like that

I think Pitts will likely pull in somewhere in the 13-14 million range....by comparison I think Otten will be in the 10-11 million range, so for me if I can get a Pitts type TE with speed and solid hands to stretch the field and open things up outside I gladly pay that extra 2-3 million.  My biggest question is would he come here after spending the last 5 years with a division rival ?  On another note if Bowles somehow survives I think we'll need as much firepower as possible with a competant playcaller just to keep us in games, because we know if we have 2 new rookie or young ILB, or more likely 1 and Dennis ( because he can work the defense around whomever he's got ) along with likely a rookie pass rusher bookend-ing YaYa that this defense will likely be more of the same.

I'd be so surprised if they kept Bowles.

and I have been one warning against change for the sake of change.

if they did he'd be fired next year without some significant success

In the slightly altered words of Jack Nicholson' Joker....." what this coaching staff needs is an enema".  Mike Evans reaction as he walked off the field after the team allowed the 4 and 14 conversion that contributed to the loss is a microcosm of the entire season, and also illustrates the struggles that haven't really improved on the defensive side of the ball in the past 4 years.

I think I'm going to give it a few days and see how it all plays out....I do apologize if it comes off as whiny bitching( not my intent ) I've just not been this frustrated in a long time, and I've been a fan pretty much since I could walk.  I'll gladly chime in on other topics going forward, but think I need to take a break from the coaching staff talk for the time being.

This sounds about right.

I have his projected AAV at around $13.5M - $14.5M

I'm assuming you're talking about Bailey.

Yeah, I think he has the potential to be a talented pass rusher at the pro level, but I don't think there's really a chance he falls to us.

Not as high on Rodriguez.

All that being said, regardless of FA (which I think we'll be active), still need to address ILB and EDGE within the first 2 rounds.

Yeah Bailey. He could fall to us I think. Rodriguez might be an early 2nd...

Either way TT has a lot of intriguing prospects on that defense.

I prefer TE and safety in FA. Replace Otton and move Smith to the slot.

We have 3 competent corners. Let Dean walk and get that comp pick.

Load the trenches on both sides... Front 7 priority.

HAVE to get a starting ILB in FA (along with one in the draft…premium pick).

Yes agreed but I haven't seen the list of available options. Last year here were some good ones but Licht paid David 10m instead so...

In my view Brooks was greatest Buc of all time. He stayed too long. Sat around for a season after the Bucs waiting for anyone to pick him up.  No one did.

not sure Licht had much of a choice. In fact the Bucs used this season to build up LvD's HOF credentials
