But, then again, it's almost as if you are defending the atrocious play calling. So if I'm stupid, then you are a f*cking retard.
I would like to know how many of those 2nd and long runs turned into 3rd and long.

Yeah. I would LOVE to see that stat.
What if the team would have executed? Didn't get penalties. We wouldn't be in this predicament if the team would have done what it was supposed to do. It falls on the head coach of course but not enough blame has gone on the team.
One of those oh-so predictable second-and-long runs: http://www.nfl.com/videos/tampa-bay-buccaneers/0ap2000000295153/RB-Rainey-80-yd-run-TD
Even running the ball 50% of the time on second and long is still too much. Especially for a team that doesn't typically run the ball well.

I was waiting for you to post this. Congrats! Now where are the others clown?
Congrats- you've proven our point. We ran the ball on 2nd and long roughly half the time. That's way too much when you consider some of them were 2nd and 20ish. I assume you included anything in 2nd and 7 or more which doesn't tell the whole story. 2nd and 7 is very different from 2nd and 15+. There is areason they are referred to as "obvious passing downs".

Doesn't fit this clown's agenda. Clearly a supporter of Schiano's prolific offense and play calling.
I think the fact that they almost ran as much as they threw on 2nd and long is quite significant.I would expect the pass to run ratio on 2nd and long to be closer to 70% pass to 30% run. If the myth is that we always run on 2nd and long then you have busted it. But if the myth is that we run too much on 2nd and long, you have not busted anything.
Lol. Donkey mad, 'cause he made an ass out of himself.

...and yet the Scarecrow was so proud of himself after he made this post , lol.You see the problem with a simpleton is they take everything literally. Some people in the game day thread said things like , "Give me a break we run on 2nd and long every play". Do they actually think it's EVERY play ? Of course not . It's simply hyperbole. It does make for quite the laugh though when a scarecrow takes all night on new years eve compiling stats , because he thinks he's on to something , when actually he is proving the point of the people he is arguing against. LMAO! Happy New Year you said little loser.
While it something of a myth the problem is perception is reality.Sure we might have passed slightly more on long yardage downs the problem lies in that they ran it so much that the perception was they do nothing but run it, when that happens there is still an issue, the ratio should have been far higher in favor of the pass on the long yardage situations. If fans are predicting safe play calls with ease on a regular basis opposing NFL coaches will eat the team alive when game planing. It's hard to win in the NFL at the best of times but if you play predictably safe on a consistent basis it's near impossible. You don't win by not making mistakes, you win by outscoring the other team and at times you have to say "F it" no matter what the risk of a negative play, look at the Pack and those 4th down conversions on Sunday, they went aggressively downfield to convert knowing they had to do it, we would have likely called a nice safe play that does nothing more than pad a players stats while giving us little chance of success extending the drive.

That's precisely what it was. If you go back to Gameday threads, you'll see the same group of people making the same comments game after game - which is what made me start to take notice. When the team actually did run the ball on second down, It became a self-fulling prophecy for some of fans that had this perception that the team "consistently" ran the ball on second down, and even on second-and-long. But that same group of people would never acknowledge when a pass was called, which as everyone can see was more often. It's easy to see from most of the responses in this thread who held this perception and are now butt hurt by the plain and simple facts being presented. A couple have graciously accepted they were incorrect, and most are predictably whining even further.
Lol. Scarecrow thought he hit gold while searching for stats all new years eve night while the rest of us were out having fun and living actual lives.Instead the majority of the thread still disagrees with him and sees through his little spin campaign. He mad . He real mad now ? Lol.
