There were regular complaints from some fans about the team running too consistently on second down. Even though the HC and OC have been relieved of their duties, I still wanted to take a look at the actual numbers regarding the play selection on second down. Well, get ready for a wall-o-text. Here are facts of the matter:Game 1: The Buccaneers had 19 second downs in this game. They threw the ball 9 times and ran it 10 times, for pass/run percentage of 47%/53%.Game 2: The Buccaneers had 20 second downs in this game. They threw the ball 10 times and ran it 10 times, for a pass/run percentage of 50%/50%Game 3: The Buccaneers had 22 second downs in this game. They threw the ball 13 times and ran it 9 times, for pass/run percentage of 59%/41%.Game 4: The Buccaneers had 24 second downs in this game. They threw the ball 16 times and ran it 8 times, for a pass/run percentage of 67%/33%Game 5: The Buccaneers had 25 second downs in this game. They threw the ball 18 times and ran it 7 times, for pass/run percentage of 72%/28%.Game 6: The Buccaneers had 27 second downs in this game. They threw the ball 16 times and ran it 11 times, for a pass/run percentage of 59%/41%Game 7: The Buccaneers had 25 second downs in this game. If you don't like the OP's argument, instead of attacking him, why don't you compile some stats of your own? If you think he's wrong, check his work. If you don't like his questions, put in the work to find the answers to your own questions instead of expecting someone else to do the work for you. Stop acting like a bunch of whiny little b*tches. Especially you, donkey that made an ass of himself. You didn't even bother to read before you attacked. Why would anyone want to put in a bunch of work to answer your questions if you're just going to be a jackazz about it?

Really? Is that the best you have? Making little jabs in regards to my screen name? So first off, go f*ck yourself you little child. Secondly, I already admit that I had overlooked his original post. But, I still stand by my opinion that we ran way too often on 2nd and long with very minimal success.

That's an average of 3.9 yards per attempt. If you take away the one run for 17 yards, you get exactly 2 yards per attempt.I'm not doing this for every game in the season, but figured I would break down one game and see what the stats were.
