7 takeaways, this is three of them
TIGHT ENDS dominating
"Much of the praise is rightfully going to Juwan Johnson (6 receptions for 90 yards and a touchdown), but Taysom Hill and Foster Moreau made some nice plays, too. As a group they converted seven first downs and scored two touchdowns. "
THEIR (shitty, makeshift) O-LINE dominating
"The Saints asked a lot of their offensive line against one of the better pass-rush units around the league, and they responded really well, even with a revolving door at right tackle. Ryan Ramczyk wasn’t able to play after going on injured reserve and his backup Landon Young went down with an injury of his own, putting third-string reserve Cameron Erving into the game in the second half. And Carr was still sacked only once while the Saints ran well as a team (if not individually)."
THEIR (shitty) D-LINE dominating
"Look at how many rushing yards the Saints allowed per game going into this matchup, since their bye week: 228, 142, 204, 60, and 133. They couldn’t stop a cold on the ground (except against the New York Giants), and while the Buccaneers aren’t known as a high-end rushing unit, they’re still a quality opponent. And the Saints stopped them in their tracks."
The coach praises the Saints for bullying the Bucs:
"Saints head coach Dennis Allen’s postgame locker speech praised his team for bullying the Bucs in the trenches. Apparently, that was the Saints’ gameplan."
Why wouldnt that be the gameplan? Its whats stands out in their losses

How many threads/posts are you going to make to absolve Mayfield from that performance?
Our iOL play got exposed, absolutely god awful reps by Stinnie, and Mauch.Baldinger

Saints whipped the Buccaneers at the LOSand it takes all 11 players to do it. Here is a glimpse of the first half dominance #BaldysBreakdowns

I am not trying to absolve Mayfield from anything. He played poorly.
I expected him to play poorly in the Jags game. He was going to come down to earth at some point on his own (regression to the mean), but also because the team was going to come down to earth. THEY DID
You're entitled to your belief that Mayfield was THE problem against NO.
The Bucs COACHES dont seem to think that.
The Bucs PLAYERS don't seem to think that, INCLUDING SPECIFICALLY that Tackle you say is the reason for Mayfield's success.
PR doesn't seem to think that.
Saints fans dont seem to think that.
Saints players dont seem to think that.
The Saints HEAD COACH didnt seem to think that.
A few football analysts (like Baldinger, one example) don't seem to think that.
It is a team sport.
Lots of blame to go around

I mean, totally agree. Seems pretty obvious in real time, watching the game, right? It only took a series or two on each side of the ball to see that the Bucs were flat and in a lot of trouble. The Saints were playing at a much higher intensity. It was a MUST WIN for them. Most of our guys were thinking about all the great press coverage lately :-)
The funny thing is WIRFS actually says that after the game.
Bowles says they were "in a daze."
Today he had to REFUTE that the Bucs were "bullied" (they were) BECAUSE that was apparently the Saints game plan, as you would expect given some of our losses.
That was a CLASSIC in the trenches ass kicking

My belief is that Mayfield is a mentally low functioning QB. He's terrible pre-snap and a slow processor. If he can just catch and throw he's got a good arm. But if he has to go through progressions it's too slow, his mechanics in the pocket break down and that's why he throws bad balls or just takes sacks he has no business taking. He'll get his bad contract and we'll see more bad games.

I think Canales disagrees on that and this
But if he has to go through progressions it's too slow,
We are just coming off a period where we had the MOST CEREBRAL QB of all time. Mayfield cannot compare to Brady in the area and YET Mayfield's stats and the teams records are about the same with largely the same personnel.
I think that says WAY MORE ABOUT CANALES than Mayfield, but it also means we can win with Mayfield's play. If we win against the Panthers and play well in the playoff game he's going to get a contract. If not, probably a big house cleaning.
Either way, this has been a fun season, exceeding expectations. The world didn't end against the Saints. It may end against the Panthers lol . . either way cant wait to watch.

In beating Tampa, the Saints accomplished something they’ve largely struggled to do this season: Against a good team, they got off to a blistering start.
New Orleans took the opening kickoff and proceeded to march 73 yards on 14 plays for a touchdown. It was the team’s first opening-drive touchdown since Week 18 of last season.
That drive was a sign of things to come for the offense.
Carr completed five of his six passes with a touchdown on the opening drive, setting the stage for one of his most efficient games as the starting quarterback in New Orleans. Carr finished Sunday’s performance completing 24 of 32 passes (75%) with a pair of touchdowns and a 111.1 passer rating.
Tight end Juwan Johnson was on the receiving end of Carr’s opening-drive touchdown pass, the start of a career-best performance for the fourth-year tight end. Before the first half was over, Johnson had set new career highs in receptions (six) and receiving yards (70). He finished with eight catches for 90 yards.
The Bucs PLAYERS don't seem to think that
Video: Lavonte David says the Bucs came out “very flat” and doesn’t have an answer for why the Saints executed when the Bucs could not.

Saints HC - "Theres a reason we were in pads on Wednesday . . .. (team laughs)"
Saints HC - "I challenged the lines to dominate . . we did that"
Does it seem to anyone else that almost every week we see an opponent or individual player have a "first" or "career best" vs the Bucs vaunted defense?
