But what if those QBs are lousy because of the situation they were put in? It's easy to look at Gabbert and say he sucks, but what if he had been drafted by the 49ers and had the chance to sit for a year and a half?
He'd still suck!!
Gotta agree with hate. He'd still suck.
I won't argue that QB is the most important position on the field, but I do think people undervalue the other 21. Manning is a better QB than Wilson right now, but Wilson won because of a better team.

I think everyone understands that. It comes down to there are basically 16 teams with good QBs and 16 teams with bad QBs. If you have a bad QB and play a team with a good QB, you're going to lose most of the time. If two teams with good QBs play, obviously it's going to come down to who has the better surrounding cast.
I think Gabbert simply is just a bad QB, that said, I think a guy like Locker would definitely have performed better in Seattle than in Tennessee. I think there can be a legitimate arguement for about 20 QB's that could have won the Super Bowl this year with that Seattle team. If the Ravens can do it with Dilfer and Flacco, then Seattle would have been able to do it with Locker, Ryan Tannehill, or Andy Dalton.
The article seems to overlook how the Seahawks got to the Superbowl. Without Russell Wilson this year the Seahawks would not have won their division and may not have even been in the playoffs at all. The Superbowl was a great team win but that doesn't exclude the fact that Wilson was brilliant this season and without him that would not have been even close to a Superbowl winning team.

Not sure I would use the word, 'brilliant', to describe his 2013 season. He only threw for 300 yards 2 times all season.
Brilliant is not trying to throw for 300+ yards when you don't have the receiving weapons to do it. Russell Wilson is brilliant. He just won the Superbowl in his second year. Peyton Manning threw for 5 million yards and he didn't get a ring. Russell Wilson did with a shaky OL and no great play making receiving threat at all. How can you even throw out a ridiculous stat like that AJ? Craziness in the off season.
Russell Wilson had ten games where he finished with a passer rating of 90.0 or better. In eight of them he finished above 100.0. He's an extremely efficient passer.

and as Dal and many others would say, that is the key

Love the guy, and I have said before, he does what he needs to do, and doesn't turn the ball over. I think every HC in the league would love to have a guy like him. Russell didn't win the Super Bowl, the team did. That is the point. If I was to rate him, a few words like efficient, cool calm and collected, would come to mind before brilliant would.
Admit it AJ. .He is brilliant!

LOL

Before i dismiss what you've typed as utter nonsense, are you talking about one game or the season?

Agreed. I don't see any Thomas, Decker and Welker in Seattle.
