The Texans owner loves Clowney.
When i read these types of absolute statements, i have to question where this info comes from. When/where did McNair profess his love for Clowney?

Well i guess that settles it. Clowney will be the #1 pick. After all, we read it on the internet!!

He did sound genuinely impressed. It didn't strike me as smoke.

Leading up to the draft? C'mon man!!!
Clowney and Watt. That would be deadly.
The Texans will be linked to -and be reported to be in love with- every prospect in the draft they think will up their chances to trade down. They need a QB, but they also need some young blood behind their aging stars. They would love nothing more than to trade down a few spots, get a few extra early round picks, and still get a QB. I honestly think that they view the top 3 QBs in this draft as close enough to each other that they would be fine letting someone else make the choice- so long as they get some extra picks.

McNair went so far to ask Watt what he thought about bringing in Clowney. Sounds pretty serious to me. But I guess we will find out how serious, in about 3 months from now.
