In recent years the Bucs have not had much luck in Free Agency, and so it is understandable that many on this board have a sort of negative view about Free Agency.But perhaps it is like others things in life: a few succeed where many do not.Example the Denver Broncos.Elway became Vice President of Football operations in Jan 2011. Since then he has signed many Free Agents. BTW: One of Elway's early accomplishments was to draft Von Miller #2 overall later in 2011. So it is not like Elway stepped into a winning situation.On the Super Bowl winning team:On defense, 4 Free Agents: DeMarcus Ware (2014), Aquib Talib (2014), T.J. Ward (2014), Darian Stewart (2015). In addition Brandon Marshall was signed to the practice squad in 2013 and Chris Harris Jr. was undrafted (2011) (Pro Bowl 2014 & 2015)On Offense, 7 Free Agents: Ryan Harris (2015), Evan Mathis (2015), Louis Vasquez (2013), Owen Daniels (2015), Emmanuel Sanders (2014), Jordan Norwood (2014), Payton Manning (2012). In addition C. J. Anderson was undrafted (2013).Just because Free Agency hasn't been good for the Bucs doesn't mean it can't work.
