No, hockey players are considered "goons."Thug, even though isn't imo racially motivated, is somewhat used more in football than other sports.Traditionally, and in a lot of rap lyrics, thug is used a lot. Seeing how rap and football are favorites/almost owned by African Americans, maybe that's why the word gets used as much in football?I'm not a racist by any means, but truthfully, races do have their favorite things, or have abilities that consist with many in their race.Personally, I think race is important, because true beauty is what is different within each person, as well as the outside. It should be celebrated.I say this because this op is obviously trying to stir the pot. These guys are also "thugs," so if that was solely your intention, I apologize.
Is this about that hockey game the other night? I can't click on any outside links while working. But if so, lots of suspensions handed out today. It has to be the only sport where any at any moment, a fight can break out, and everyone will stand around and watch it. Its bizarre. I never could get into the game TBH.I joke with people when hockey comes up in conversation, I don't know what end of the stick you are supposed to hold.
