I think the three most important thing to look for overall as a team is reduction of penalties, better special teams, and a defense that doesn't give up big chunks of yards through the air.
For individual performances I want to see how Winston operates in the new offense working the underneath routes with patience, and how the five projected OL starters play (Smith, Marpet, Jensen, Cappa, and Dotson) with their leverage and knee bend in the run game.
The extended look will also show more of how Perriman will fit into this offense.
Defensively, I want to see more of D. White, J. Dean, S. Murphy-Bunting and other players in the secondary. I want to see players locating the ball in air and contesting catches.
Depth wise I am looking to see which WR steps up tonight seeing M. Evans is out so that will give some of the guys lower on the depth chart some looks with the 1st and 2nd team units. No excuses now as they will be playing with better quality players around them. Put up time for WR's trying to claim the 4th, 5th and maybe, maybe 6th WR spot.
For the return game I haven't seen anyone challenge Bobo. But Bobo has to show some more dynamic returns to instill confidence from the coaching staff that he is a weapon as a returner. In the past we have seen glimpses of this from Bobo, so I think he can do it.
I will be watching how the team uses players like Spence, Nassib, Barrett, and Huguenin. If Bond is out due to injury this opens the door for Daniels or Kenney to really shine IMO.
Cichy has a chance to really make an impression but right now it feels like Buccanon and Minter have ILB spots locked down. Still, I think Cichy has a role moving forward with the Bucs one way or another if he puts up a good tape.
Hudson's play on special teams will be critical as well as which young DB steps up (eg Wilkins, Denis, etc).
And finally that backup OL has to have someone step up. Need to see at minimum TWO solid backups play competent NFL football. Having five starters and two reliable backups is more than good enough by NFL standards. Unfortunately I am not optimistic about the Bucs having a credible backup swing OT on the roster, but you never know if someone shows up in the last two pre season contests.
