I'm trying to do a mock draft like I do every year and this is impossible. Last year I had no more than 20 guys with a 1st round grade. This year I'm at 45 guys and counting with a 1st round grade.I don't even care who is available at #7, trade down is the way to go. A couple years ago the Browns started with the 5th pick in the 1st round and ended up at 21. Their draft sucked but they ended up with that 1st and 3 2nds(one of which was from the Winslow trade). That has to be the target more than any individual player.
Yep this draft is crazy talented..and unpredictable as well.
Meh. A lot of overrated players in this draft. I would like to trade down though if no Top Qbs are left.
Its hard to do, but I think its more a lot of players with the same talent level. That doesnt make it a high level, but it means you will get quality talent later in the draft. 3-4 years down the road we will be talking about a few 6-7th rounders who turned out to be borderline stars.
Good thing we traded our 3rd rounder for a guy who was going to be an restricted free agent in 2014.

Thus why I am a big fan of trading back. The difference between 7 and 20 is so marginal that it would be worth getting another pick or two.

Could be worse...

I'm curious.. outside of the QBs, who do you think is overrated?
I don't think many people are going to be interested in trading up this year, because this draft is ridiculous and everyone wants to keep all their picks.

Those QB's are all overrated as well. Outside of Clowney, no one jumps off the page, and as we know even he has his issues. Right now I think Clowney and Watkins are the only "special" players in the top 10. This draft is very deep, but the over valuing of QB's coupled with the fact that the new cba has made the risk so low, that you can take a shot on a QB with the hope he becomes something.

This is also why teams aren't going to want to trade up.

There will always be movement. Cleveland has 2 1sts, 2 3rds, and 2 4ths, I'd be shocked if they didn't try to move up with kind of ammo especially if the Derek Carr speculation is true (they won't get him at 26). San Fran has a ton of picks as well and they are guaranteed to move up. Highly doubt they stay put.

Teams are definitely going to fall in love with players in this draft. I'd predict a lot of movement.

I am notoriously wrong about the draft, and I predict no movement from us, at least early on. So, you're probably right.

So the Browns, known for their intelligent decisions throughout the years, traded back for a 1st and 3 2nds and their draft "sucked" yet you want us to follow their example?Tell me where this though process comes from... what?
