Look a revamp of the defensive line and linebackers are unrealistic this season . The MLB situation has to be fixed asap. This team can not allow Britt to stay there all year. We already had a decline in Dean and no real consistency in the pass rush . Letting Cousins roast us for 500 is insane. Just call around for a MLB please !!!

Yeah its great to have faith in the guys you drafted, but there are times when you have to recognize that you need to add a piece here and there. They did add a couple minor depth pieces, but they didn't want to spend any real money except for Whitehead who used to play here. They gave up on White, which they should have, but that means you have a hole there. They did add something at O-line and DB but didn't add any ILB even when losing White and that's coming back to bite them.We could have gone after Bobby Wagner.

Lots of guys were the reason the 500 yards passing, not just the MLB. The entire secondary, along with David a couple times too, struggled in coverage - some worse than others.
Hell, there were many times that the MLB shouldn't have even been on the field. The DC has to mitigate the MLB's weaknesses, and he didn't do that last night.

It was a frustrating loss to be sure, especially with how well the offense was playing in the first half. It will be interesting to see if the roster is deep enough at MLB to help bolster the secondary.
After absorbing losses of starters that could/did a heroic job through the previous 3 wins - it’s clear from the 500 passing yards - we are in trouble.
Sure, the DC will scheme something up, and it may work for a a quarter or two, but unless we keep the gas pedal down on offense (ie, PASSING in the second half) we do/did NOT have a running game that can burn up the clock and protect a lead.
Honestly, losing AWJ, Whitfield, and Dennis - are secondary holes that not a lot of teams could overcome.
Agree, should have done something about CB position, and we also knew MLB was thin, now it’s a confirmed weakness. Can he even still generate pressure utilizing a corner or a safety?

I really like Antonio Grier when he was at USF and thought he could definitely have been a draft pick day2-3 pick if he went to a better college.
