Britt rated 83/83 LB on pff ,idk the parameters or subjectiveness of their grading but if it’s at least reliable there is no loss in putting another mlb out there like Russell or Grier you cant do worse than last
Would like to at least see what Russell could do in a game.
Both and I am a big LVD fan:
SR's Fab 5:
"Bucs head coach Todd Bowles is in a quandary right now. His inside linebackers are not playing well in coverage.
Notice I said inside linebackers – plural. I’m not just talking about K.J. Britt, who is the worst-graded inside linebacker in the NFL, according to Pro Football Focus.
I’m also talking about the legendary Lavonte David, who will turn 35 in January. Once one of the best coverage linebackers in the league, David is starting to show his age. No Bucs defender has given up more yardage in coverage than David this season."
and the 500 yd Falcons are next
Its possible that LVD is playing worse because of how slow Britt is, more space to cover, I ahvent watched enough to be sure of this though

Well, absolutely. In fact, Bowles alluded to him trying to do too much.
But - and keep in mind I am a fan - if you go back and watch when Dennis was playing you can see by comparison to Dennis that LVD's speed has dropped off. He's not much faster than Britt. He is MUUUUUUCHH smarter and way more instinctive, obviously, but having to do more because of Britt is a recipe for disaster . . . aka 509 yds . . for an almost 35 yr old ILB
I like Britt because hes that old school smashmouth LB but its unfortunate he has bricks for shoes.
Pros: leader, team respects him, rah rah guy, Run stopper, stopping power
Cons: Slow, stiff hips, Bad pursuit angles, Pass coverage, Space coverage, tick slow on instinct
I do think its time for a change as well even though I like the pros of his game, hes just not getting it done
At this point, Britt looks more like a situational/substitute, not an NFL starter.. but we don’t have a lot choices at this point. I’m also not sure how quickly a new ILB would pick up Bowles scheme?I like Britt because hes that old school smashmouth LB but its unfortunate he has bricks for shoes.

I’m sure they’ve looked, but our best chance to land options at key positions was before the season, especially WR’s & Corners, but we didn’t. Some teams may be trying to cast off some players with a year or two left - but it doesn’t look like it’s part of Licht’s/Bowles plans.
Extremely frustrating to know where the land mines were, many of fans (especially here) spoke to them in detail, so you know they knew…yet they decided to trust their luck.
Turns out, we were right, and luck ran out. Seriously though, the injuries that hit us at almost every position, could not have all been planned for - curious to see what Coen can come I’m with - and whether getting those defensive stars back can help Bowles scheme something up that can at least slow Atlanta.
Make a trade for Devin Lloyd!!
Forget Kupp..ain't happening and shouldn't happen.
But Lloyd would instantly improve the Bucs defense. Plus the Bucs would have a replacement for LVD when he retires next year.
The Jags are in sell mode and Lloyd is what the Bucs defense is missing. He is fantastic in coverage and good against the run. He also has the speed to be a effective on the blitz.
It would be nice if we could STEAL Bolton from KC.
Evans for Bolton in the offseason?
Good to know you're still retarded
Looks like our big WR signing is Dennis Houston, practice squad guy from Dallas/NYG. Supposedly, has some contested catch ability, but can’t seem to break into an NFL lineup.
