As I said before...a lot depends on free agency. I really think we will look to free agency for help at DE and OG...maybe C. I think one if not both of Joseph and Nicks won't be back. If we do that, that gives us the freedom to move around with our 1st pick or take the best player available. A lot also depends on who's drafted before us and who's left. I highly doubt we trade up for Manziel. I think the Bucs are more likely to sit there and see if a QB drops to them. If Manziel drops to them...I think he has to be the pick. If he's gone, then I could see the Bucs going OT, WR, or TE. As has been mentioned by others...Ebron I don't think will last past the middle of the round. If we want to trade down a few spots and pick up a 3rd round pick and take Ebron...I am all for it. I think he's a bit of a reach at 7. Bottom line though is he fills a major need and even if we don't draft a QB and Glennon is the guy...we need a pure TE for him to throw to.Worst case, if we go QB, WR, OT, or even D...then I think a TE should be a target in round 2 with someone like Austin Seferian-Jenkins.

I agree. You never want to talk about drafting a TE this early.....I am not advocating this, either. At the same time if Clowney, Mathews, Bortles, and Bridgewater are all gone I would prefer Ebron over Watkins, Mack, Barr, etc. Even if that happens, the best scenario is to trade back if possible....as the last resort, you draft Ebron at No.7 IMO. Watkins is a slot WR, no? Slot WR at no.7 is unprecedented as well.

I think that is the biggest knock on him. He did play the slot at Clemson and has very little tape of going 1-1 outside in man coverage. Does Watkins translate to the next level? That is the question, and for a guy his size, it all depends on his 10/20/40 times. Unless he shows something elite there, he likely won't translate very well at all to the NFL.
He's not the fastest guy... But it is how quick he gets to top speed that sets him apart from the others and makes him lethal in space.
