Ok, let me lay out my reasons for this:1 ) Wright is good...but not elite (can still be kept around for 2 TE sets...if Tedford runs that)2 ) Crabtree is....Crabtree3 ) What does EVERY other great offense have?  An elite TE that can create mismatches down the middle of the field.4 ) Defensive woes (primarily at DE and/or OLB) can be addressed in free agency.5 ) There really isn't any overwhelming value (at a position of need for the Bucs) at the seventh pick.6 ) Therefore, they should trade back to later in the first round (when both TEs will likely still be available) & compile picks.7 ) Glennon deserves a chance & none of the QBs this year really jump out at me (yes, even Manziel/Bridgewater).8 ) I truly believe Ebron & Amaro are both ELITE options....along the lines of Gronk & Graham (see stats below)Eric EbronTEJunior6-4?, 231 lbsNorth CarolinaSEASON REC YDS AVG     LNG  TD 2013         62         973         15.7 79          32012         40         625         15.6 49         42011         10         207         20.7 47         1Jace AmaroTEJunior6-5, 255 lbsTexas TechSEASON REC YDS AVG LNG TD2013         106       1352 12.8 47         72012           25         409 16.4 61  42011             7           57           8.1 12         2

If the team can trade down, I'm fine with this.  Although right now, I think Trent Murphy is my favorite trade down target.  If they can't find a good partner though, I definitely wouldn't be a fan of the team draft a TE in the first.

No, I totally agree....this is all dependent on trading down in the first round.  Drafting a TE at 7 would be ludicrous.

I wouldn't be against this, depending like you said on what they do in free agency.I would be okay with TE, WR, DE, or QB with the Rd 1 pick. We've got lots of holes and lots of options.

If we are going after a TE I would rather get Austin Seferian-Jenkins at the top of the second.  He may not be quite as good of a receiver as those 2 (albeit pretty close) but he is a better blocker and will likely fall to the 2nd.

Watched him in the bowl game, very intelligent player. Finds his way open alot. Would be thrilled to have him. I'll bet the combine has its way with him and he falls quite far.

I'd pass on a te round 1 honestly. Wright is a threat and it showed later on in the year teams were doubling him trying to cover him. I wouldnt draft a te until the 4th 5th round imo. Hell get better at blocking he has the want too just needs polishing. We have other bigger needs that need to be adressed before te. Like oline and speed wr de  or even qb if one is there before te. I don't really get the need to replace a te that put up 600 yards and 5 tds last year his first time playing the position last year. I would use my high pick on more pressing needs

Watkins in R1 and Sefarian-Jenkins in R2.

I think Ebron is going to go top 12, maybe top 10. I'd much rather draft Watkins though.

Ask yourself this, though. Which player is more likely to be a top 5 pro at his position, Ebron or Murphy?

well would you rather have the 5th best TE or the 10th best DE?
