Good opportunity to compare Bowles to Vrabel because the Titans and Bucs are on a very similar path:

Both teams 3-5, both near bottom or at bottom of their division

The Titans 2022 featured a terrible offense with a terrible O-line last year and FIRED their OC

The fired OC went away from the PA passing that had worked well in the past

The fired OC ran the ball A LOT on FIRST DOWN

Their current OC is a promoted passing game coordinator

Both teams have DEFENSIVE head coaches and RUN-based offenses

Both teams are undertaking hard core cap clearing this season so both teams are relying on some young and undrafted players:

Titans - "Thirty-one players who were not drafted are on it, 13 of them have started and seven of them have started six games or more. All of those are the highest                 numbers in the NFL."

The Titans are currently starting their Trask, second round QB Will Levis and they have a well-known vet QB too

The Titans lost to the Saints but beat the Falcons, so they should be a relatively even match with the Bucs, although I think thre Tians are favored (?)

Who can get the most from their team Vrabel or Bowles?

I think Vrabel is a piece of shit but he runs circles around coach Bowles. Tampa is clearly the more talented team but Titans are more disciplined and better coached. They are a top 10 team in penalties committed at 8.

27-24 Titans, defense falters after being up 24-17 in the 4th.

Coincidentally, they've coached almost the exact same number of games - with Vrabel having one more game because he hasn't had his bye week yet.

Vrabel: 51-39 for a .567 winning percentage with 4 winning seasons and 2 playoff victories

Bowles: 37-54 for a .400 winning percentage with 1 winning season and 0 playoff victories

It's not really close.

I don’t know much about Vrabel but this is what struck me about the game. Great chance to compare

def comparable in terms of philosophy, Vrabel just executes better.

And I meant to say Titans are top 10 in least penalized team.

which for a home game isn’t good, would suggest a titans line.

Don’t know how anyone can trust this team against another rookie QB & solid weapons. Levis might set some records

Thanks for the quick approval🍻, the browns forum finally got around to it a few days ago and we played them week 3 lol.

I will say your quick breakdown is fairly accurate as far as we go. I would add you have a chance for your run game to get on track. Our run D has been in shambles for the last month. Something like 160 yards per game over the last 4. Before that tho we had only 1 100 yards game in the last 20 and we're giving up just over 3ypc. Not sure what prompted the massive fall off.

As for vrable if you watch any of the press stuff don't listen to a thing he says I was half expecting him to declare Malik Willis as the starter to play him one snap and troll everyone. He takes coach speak to a whole different level.

Also our offensive line has been a joke this year. Skronski look good at left guard, brunskil and Hubbard at rg and Rt have been decent bridge guys. But our center and lt have been unbelievably bad. I doubt Hubbard plays he is in concussion protocol and vrable takes that very serious. Dillard our left tackle was benched and our backup right tackle just went on IR. So it's hard for me to say if the mass of change will hurt or help the line.

Henry is still Henry but he has lost most of his home run threat. Spears has been great as his spell in limited use. Our passing weapons outside Hopkins have been a massive disappointment. The one guy I would look out for is Kyle Phillips. He has been injured almost constantly since we drafted him but in his first game with Levis as QB he had a good game even with limited usage.

Sorry for the term paper didn't realize I had typed so much lol.

Any way, thanks for having me and I'd be happy to answer any other questions you have

Also forgot to mention our redzone offense is atrocious, we were top 5 in the league the last 4 years and our current OC was the red zone coordinator last year and we are next to last now... So your best bet against us is likely bend but don't break and force us to get fgs.

I think Levis will throw for 350 yards and  3 TDs.

Badabing point out the Achilles heel of the Bucs defense: inexperienced QBs

The ACTUAL Achilles Heel of this defense:

  • The inability to get to the QB without some kind of exotic blitzing package.
  • And, when we do blitz; play the corners 10-12 yards off, essentially guaranteeing the blitz never gets home/or disrupts the play
