The ACTUAL Achilles Heel of this defense:
- The inability to get to the QB without some kind of exotic blitzing package.
The 2022 Bucs defense was dismantled by the Cowboys in the Wild card round. Picked apart, literally
The D-line for the 2022 wild card game:
Anthony Nelson
Will Gholston
Akeem Hicks
Carl Nassib
Logan Ryan
Vita Vea
JTS
This year we got Barrett back, but he is a 30+ coming of ACHILLES
We drafted Kancey and he looks good BUT he's a rookie and out a lot early
Greg Gaines?
(The Brady Bill)
Our offensive line this year is literally gum and paper clips.

Figuratively. Figuratively is the word you're looking for, dingleberry.
We can add the word "literally" to the increasingly long list of things you know nothing about.
Yawn.
Buggsy, you got mad over the mayfield stuff YOU POSTED but weren’t able (in your style) to “own it” or “eat it” so you went and dug up an old unrelated thread, edited it out of context, and posted.
think about that. Lol.
in the game day thread — in the midst of the game - you were attempting the berate Fire over a nothing issue by telling him he should “own it” and “eat it”
haha think about those two things combined

"used in an exaggerated way to emphasize a statement or description that is not literally true or possible"
"used to emphasize the truth of something that may seem surprising"

Yeah, they had to change these definitions because dipshits like yourself kept misusing the word. Congrats, you're among the mouth-breathers of society that cannot properly use the English language.
Completely shameless.
A ton of the same issues from last year except we don't have Brady and Baker is not the worst in the world. Agree we could have better there but like I was kinda just saying I don't think it matters. A lot of the better teams out there far more disciplined and obviously better skilled at important positions of the game. We aren't awful with the talent it's just not as good as those teams are which when you add in what we have as far as everything else it's not competitive. Probably need to reevaluate what's possible with this current setup when necessary and do a good proper rebuild. A retool is always the ideal way but it's harder come the cap and what we have had done with that over past years and going forward for a bit. Hit on draft choices and free agency and maybe more importantly choose right leadership and can get it turned around fairly quickly. Qb is obviously a big question going forward and they probably should just see what they got in Trask soon.

Buggsy, it’s not surprising that you disagree with Oxford and M-W just like it’s not surprising that you set a trap for yourself (again) by calling someone else dumb while being wrong, literally.
have a snickers.

maybe if they lose this next one, particularly if Mayfield struggles
@bucsbits baker should have a decent day. After the byard trade and injuries our secondary is shot. It really depends on if SMB and McCreary can play, their backups are both udfa special teams guys. Also Edmunds looked like crap his first game with us.
Our passrush has been hit or miss all year as well. Some games they bring it hard others it doesn't exist. Don't expect any blitzing tho, just a lot of stunts and simulated pressure

As the thread indicates our teams are very similar. Maybe that means we have a good competitive game coming up!
@bucsbits I expect it to be entertaining. I also expect us to lose regardless of talent. We can't score over 16 points on the road.
Bucs 21
Titans 20
Game is close but awful to watch
Vrabel was a little salty after the game, but here is saying the Bucs defense was able to dominate because the Titans could do the things on offense the Bucs have been trying to do under Canales:
QUESTION: "How is this group so consistently unable to provide pass protection that you need in order to play winning football?''
VRABEL: "Well, just a few weeks ago we had some pretty good pass protection. We didn't necessarily have it today. Because you can't stay balanced. If you have some longer opportunities, it forces them and allows them to get going and rush the passer. I think if you can stay balanced and run the football and keep it on schedule and keep it at third-and-manageable, you have an opportunity.''
