After giving it a lot of thought, reading a lot of different reports, opinions, stats, etc. etc., I can't shake this gut feeling that both QB's will be busts and out of the league in 4-5 years. I have the feeling that Winston will get chewed up and spit out by the NFL. Being accused of rape is serious business, and it's ruined a lot of lives. Fair or not, you HAVE to grow up and show maturity beyond your years when that kind of accusation gets flung at you. His pattern of behavior since the accusation is... weird, to say the least. That "it" factor, swagger, confidence, whatever you want to call it, is needed in the worst way on the field. But off the field, it screams of entitlement and selfishness to me. A complete and utter inability to grasp and comprehend his situation leaves me feeling that he's gonna bust. Hard. As for Mariota, I feel like he's gonna get hurt. A lot. I think he'll be out of the league quicker than Winston because the greatest ability a player can have is availability. I can't shake this feeling that it's gonna be a tweaked hammy here, a rolled ankle there, and then the injuries will really start hitting him. All that said, the ironic thing is that I fully understand that we really NEED to pick one of these guys with the first pick. The fans need the short-term high of a "Franchise" QB. So take one, either one. But let's make sure the rest of this off-season we're getting this team in a position to better help the next "Franchise" QB we draft.
