Now that we're closing in on the end to this miserable season, we need to start thinking about what our top needs are. Here's my list, and I'd love to hear yours.1. QB2. LT3. TE4. LE5. WR (speed)Your turn.
You got to be kidding me...Glennon needs to be left alone....He is a very good QB and lets see him develop..I can't wait to see the rest of these...OBD
I think they should draft a QB in the 2nd or 3rd, but I think they should give Glennon the entire offseason and preseason as the #1. This guy is a rookie who was 2nd team the entire offseason, preseason, and didn't even start a game until Wk 4. Again, some on here are unrealistic...as if this guy was supposed to step in w/a sh*t coaching staff, limited WRs and no TE (I think he's made Wright better and vice versa), and recently absolutely no running game and look like a great QB. Give this dude an entire offseason w/a new coaching staff, and see what he can do next season.
Anyone who doesn't have DE #1 is a damn retard. Sorry.

+1...perfect.When put in favorable situations, Glennon torched that defense. You name me one QB since Harbaugh came into town that converts 3rd and 10 or more against that defense? Doesn't happen. Glennon had the longest TD drive of the year against that defense yesterday. Support the kid, not fire him.
in no way shape or form should be draft a new QB unless Glennon completely falls apart in the next 2 weeks. maybe spend a 7th on a qb but otherwise we need to just pick up a Veteran FA qb. Glennon has shown enough to be given a chance. between our trash OL, injuries to mike williams and doug martin, and terrible playcalling and coaching he really hasnt had a real supporting cast. Our NeedsDE - we need someone with speed across from Clayborn to provide more pressure. Gholston is developing but hes more like AC in that hes a power guy, not a speed guy.TE - Tim Wright has been a pleasant surprise but we need another TE to help work the middle of the fieldSlot WR - Underwood needs to be a 4th option, not a 2nd.OL - guard and OT need to be addressed
I am Ok with keeping Glennon next year but we do need a new OC. Although we are missing some key offensive weapons in Williams and Martin, the playcalling has been dreadful and we are much farther along on defense right now then we are on offense. I agree an edge rusher on Defense is a huge need but Gholson has really impressed me and is coming on strong so I think we are deeper on the DL than we are on the OL. We just need to use these guys differently and let them rush the passer. If we are going to stick with Glennon then we need to give him some additional weapons that can win early off the line and can get YAC.Team needs:-Offensive Coordinator - Sullivan is not putting Glennon in positions to win. -TE - If we go TE in the draft, we need to grab one early and get a stud like Ebron , Amaro or Jenkins-DE - If we go Offense in round 1, it will because we signed somebody like Jared Allen in the off-season-WR - We need a slot guy who can win early off the line and give Glennon somebody he can count on quickly as he get blitzed more than anyone in the NFL-OT - Penn is regressing and we need somebody who can protect his blindside. If they get rid of Penn this off-season, they may look at moving Dotson to LT and put Carimi at RT but I would rather look at a OT at the top of Round 2. I think one of the good ones may be there as it is a pretty deep class. especially if Robinson from Auburn comes out
Anyone who doesn't have DE #1 is a damn retard. Sorry.
I have DE at #2 only because I am not completely sold on Glennon. If I'm still not sold after 2 more games, I'd like to see us go QB in round 1. Better to have 2 QBs than none.
Anyone who doesn't have DE #1 is a damn retard. Sorry.
I feel the same way....only replace DE with Oline. Oline play is the fulcrum on which our team performs positively or negatively. Our Dline has been at least adequate.
1 QB- To those who don't want the Bucs to draft one, Why not? If Glennon is as good as you say he is, he will win the battle.2 OL- OT, OG, C It doesn't matter, its all in shambles IMO3 DE - Need more from the line without blitzing4 CB- Beyond Revis and Banks(sometimes), I have no faith in them5 TE- One that can run block like Anthony Becht used too. Not strictly a pass catcher. Must open up holes for the RBs
Not exactly....clubs have wayyyy wayyyy too much pressure in inserting 1st round pick QB's regardless of whether they win "the battle" or not. Are you telling me Freeman won "the battle" this offseason??? I bet he didn't yet he started the season and was only pulled after a historically horrendous start.Draft investment carries weight....even several years after the fact. Seriously, why is Davin Joseph still playing?Anyhow, here's my list.1. Coaching staff.2. Oline.3. Oline.4. Oline.5. Oline/TE
Only weak organizations have that problem. Arron Rodgers was drafted in the first round, only played when they knew Favre was done and coached up enough to take over.Drew Brees and Phillip Rivers. Kurt Warner and Matt Leinart, that didn't even work out but they stuck with Warner overall. Those are just ones I remember off the top of my head. Draft a QB in the first round and let them compete. Worst case scenario is they both suck. I believe we will increase competition and find a real QB by drafting a QB in the first round this year.BTW not every situation should lead back to "remember the Freeman situation" because that excuse is terrible. Freeman started because what other options did our team have? Plus he was showing just enough to make the organization not draft a QB or bring in a Vet for competition. And that sounds just like this Glennon situation right now...

That's like 4 examples over the past how many years??? Yet that same scenario plays out several times a year in just the opposite manner...it takes an act of God for a team to not insert highly drafted QB's into the starting roles in their first or second year regardless of performance.....and it usually takes another act if God before they pull the plug. 1st round picks are huge investments that carry a lot of expectation especially from the fan bases....clubs try to make these investment work, even try to force them to work even when it's obvious it won't. We see it every year.

You must've missed the part where I said it takes a weak organization to fall prey to that kind of thinking. Besides I want a new coaching staff and I don't want that coaching staff to be married to Glennon. I want them to make their own decisions. If that means drafting their own QB (I think they will) then so be it. Honestly the only way they don't draft a QB is if Schiano stays, I don't think that will happen.

If weak means virtually every team in the league with an occasional exception every few years then sure.

If we lose out and I'd expect the Bucs to do so, then we are looking at a Top 5 selection (AGAIN). My order would be this 1. DE- If Clowney is there when the Bucs select, then that's a no brainer IMO. 2. OT- Landing Mathews or Lewan might not be the sexy pick in the Top 5 but the OL has underachieved this year and a stud OT might be what this team needs. 3. WR- Selecting Sammy Watkins or Mike Evans could be exactly what whoever the Bucs QB is next year needs. 4. OLB- On paper the Bucs look set at the LB position, but adding a Anthony Barr or a CJ Mosley would only strengthen a already strong position. 5. QB- We have zero shot at Bridgewater and I'm not a big fan of Johnny Football or Derek Carr. Wait until the 2nd round and hope Mettenberger or McCarron are still there. Or maybe even Boyd out of Clemson(especially if we get Watkins in the 1st) would be in play. Disclaimer- If Schiano is still the HC then there is zero possibility the Bucs draft a QB in the first 3 rounds.
