If you're not familiar with "Toxic Differential", it's something Brian Billick came up with as a indicator of a team's success. It's not an exact science by any means... but, it's not bad.For more on the subject Click here...The Bucs ranked 27th with a -28 differential.  That's -8 on the takeaway/giveaway difference and -20 on the big play difference.Takeaway Giveaway Statistics:

INTs Fum TakeAways PTS INTs Fum GiveAways PTS TO +/-
14 11 25 62 20 13 33 101 -8

This was supposed to work in the Bucs favor.  But, the defense didn't get the ball as much as the offense gave it away. The 62 points the Bucs got from takeaways ranked as 9th fewest... the 101 points given up ranked as 4th most in the NFL.The 14 INTs by the Bucs ranked 14th... the 20 INTs against the Bucs ranked 2nd most. The 11 fumble recoveries ranked 10th most... the 13 fumbles lost ranked 5th most.Sloppy football on offense.  Not enough ball hawking on defense...  and then there were blocked kicks and punts.Big Play Differential:

Pass BP Opp. Pass BP Pass BP Diff Rush BP Opp. Rush BP Rush BP Diff BP Diff
29 29 0 34 54 -20 -20

Big Pass Plays:

Player Passing BP
Josh McCown 16
Mike Glennon 13

The combined 29 big pass plays ranked 12th most, tied with the Saints for best in the NFC South.McCown has already gotten the boot. Glennon's 13 big pass plays in... say 5.65 games... extrapolates to ~37.While extrapolation isn't the real deal, that would have ranked Glennon amongst the top QBs in big plays.Big Receiving Plays:

Player Pos Games Receiving BP
Mike Evans WR 15 13
Vincent Jackson WR 16 8
Louis Murphy Jr. WR 11 3
Bobby Rainey RB 15 2
Austin Seferian-Jenkins TE 9 2
Brandon Myers TE 14 1

Mike Evans ranked 6th in the NFL, highest ranked of the rookies. VJax was 29th.Big Rush Plays:

Player Pos Att Rush BP
Bobby Rainey RB 94 11
Doug Martin RB 134 8
Josh McCown QB 25 6
Charles Sims RB 66 6
Mike Glennon QB 10 1
Solomon Patton WR 1 1
Jorvorskie Lane RB 3 1

Rainey ranked 41st in the NFL... and ended the season as a returner.
