Last night Cowherd floated the idea of the Cowboys trading Parsons and the Raiders trading Crosby for two #1s. I'm usually against trading future #1s but I think we're a fit for a move like this. Diaby and JTS just aren't getting home despite interior pass rush. Would prefer Crosby because he's signed through 2026 at what would be a good value. Parsons would need a top of the market deal and Dallas would probably ask for more.

Would be 100% for it for Crosby.

Him and Diaby, with Braswell in rotation. Sign me up.

Can still focus on CB and iOL in the draft and go ILB in FA.

Something needs to be done. Wish there was some way without trading future #1's, though.

yes, not having pass rush was the end of our playoff run last year.  We certainly should consider it.

I cant see Dallas trading Parsons

Crosby may be an option and with 2025 and 2026 under contract but hopefully not at the expense of losing Chris Godwin in the offseason

He carries a 30M Cap hit for 2024.  I believe we have about 11M of cap space currently

would likely have to trade and extend his contract.  He's 27 so maybe extend another 2 years to his age 31 season.

question is, who do we lose in the off-season to include him to the fold?  suppose Dean isn't a bad cap casualty and good trade off

I don't see Jerry trading Parsons.

I'd have no problems giving up two #1's for Maxx Crosby.

At his current contract we would have to pay him $23.1M in 2024, $18.9M in 2025. Raiders are on the hook for the rest, which is only $10.2M total, which is why they can do it. The logic was the Raiders need draft capital to go up and get a QB.

The only counter argument is god forbid something crazy happens in 2025 and we don't have the #1 overall pick in the Arch Manning draft.

We need an elite pass rusher to emerge is all i know. Crosby is the sexy pick but hes gonna cost a first and a lot of moeny. I think I'd rather have hendrickson for a 2nd or 3rd and a personality thats not gonna rock the boat.  He was also putting some work on andrew thomas last night.

Hendrickson trade value is lwoer because hes not a sexy name and a loud guy but the guy put up 17.5 sacks last year, that is elite and his personality meshes better with our team i believe.

Thats a JPP esque kinda trade

I think linebacker is the priority.  Teams can neutralize the Bucs pass rush by throwing short passes because of the difficulty covering in the middle of the field.   That's why Devin White was drafted higher than a MLB would normally be drafted.  White flamed out, and that's been a sore spot ever since.  That's why Dennis was going to be so important, but if he reinjured a shoulder that was hurt in the Summer, how can we count on him at all this season?  If we are going to trade for somebody, it should be a linebacker.

I think JJ russell/Grier could fill in that role tbh. Britt is just stiff as a board and is not a cover guy never has and never was. A MLB also has a lot of assignments to know so he has to know the defense don't think Bowles can trust a guy to come in and be in the right spot in one week. Theres also no real lb worthy of giving trade capital for

They are both UDFAs.  Grier is a rookie practice squad UDFA.  Those guys are generally special teamers at best.  They are not the solution as starters on this defense.

Every other position on this defense is manned by a high draft pick 3rd round or higher except Whitehead who was 4th round.  But at ILB we have Britt who was a 6th rounder and injured Dennis a steal as a 5th rounder and the UDFA parade.  White was supposed to be the centerpiece of a Bowles defense for years to come, which is why he stuck with him longer than anybody thought he should.  Now there's no centerpiece.   I don't know who could be traded for, but I do logically conclude that Licht is well aware of the situation and will try to do something this season particularly if the Dennis injury is projected to linger for the season.

put it at 2%

if the Bucs valued pass rush, they would have done more in the off-season to try and correct it.

could i see another playoff exit where we can't pressure the QB making it more of a priority in the off-season.  for sure, but inter season trade....im not so sure.

Also highly doubt they will want to give us first round picks as in the plural.

Maxx Crosby can likely get moved and will go to a team going all in this year.

I am not sure the Bucs are going "All in" as still building for the future in my opinion and happy playing with "house money" riding this Baker rejuvenation

Za'Darius Smith from Cleveland may be an option and maybe only cost us a late round pick

Haason Reddick?  he appears to be holding out for a long term contract and is a bit delusional given his age.  a rental for a 5th is best i'd offer here

Jadeveon Clowney? Hes currently with the Carolina Panthers.  Would they trade in the division?

i honestly see us just riding it out with our current roster but if we do make a trade, i see it more getting a rental back end of career type of player and not a splash trade.

absolutely agree!  and with how this offense is playing, they should be thinking Super Bowl.  This team playing it's best ball in the last 3 seasons.

question is....is management/Licht thinking Super Bowl or are they just happy with another playoff birth.

i only ask this because we knew going into last off-season and this current situation that edge rusher was a problem.  We did nothing to address it.  We added a draft pick in Braswell but let's not act like anyone saw that as an immediate solution.  They maybe thought YaYa would progress a bit more?  Doesn't look like double digit sacks is in the cards for him.  They already knew JTR was a joke.

EJ Speed is a colts LB with an expiring contract.  The Colts are 3-3 by beating the Titans, but they face a tough schedule in the next five weeks (Dolphins, Texans, Vikings, Bills, Jets, Lions) where they could lose all six IMO.  So at some point Speed could be available for a late round pick.
