You’re not fooling anyone, you know you entertained the idea… before shaking it off one last time.
i know i did.
Lack of an edge rush has become a glaring deficiency on this team, I’m guessing that will become even more evident over the next few games.
This team definitely has championship level ability…just a couple of missing pieces…one big one at edge.

But to your point, he would definitely get visibility on a new York jets team led by Aaron rodgers and just traded for Davante Adams
yes they are 2-4 but could go on a run particularly in an AFC where 9 wins may get you in playoffs
don’t see how he views Bucs differently than jets or eagles. Idk

Don’t know who you’re addressing, but I sure as hell haven’t entertained any idea of trading for Reddick of all people.
You could be right, but of the two teams, I like our o-line better and of the two, only one is showing signs of life.
Could be he waits a bit more, but that means you either get the money from a team that is worse off, or you get some money from a team that can keep winning.
Drew will want both… but I don’t think there a lot of teams in that space.
Every opportunity needs to be evaluated/investigated. I was not a fan of this trade in the pre-season, but I’m also not a fan of the performance of the current roster. You’re not fooling anyone, you know you entertained the idea…

It is an interesting discussion because the overall Buccaneer product on the field has flashed some championship caliber - but we’ve got a glaring hole at edge that will cause problems down the road. Because of that, and the opportunity, I’m no longer dismissing it out of hand.
apparently if the Jets trade Reddick to an NFC team, they'd have to give up a 2026 second round pick so put a X in the idea anyway
Although the Jets are open to trading Reddick, there is one major detail that's throwing a wrench into things: The Jets can't easily trade him to an NFC team. According NFL insider Josina Anderson, if the Jets decided to ship Reddick off to an NFC team, they'd have to also send a 2026 second-round pick to the Philadelphia Eagles, who dealt Reddick to the Jets in the offseason
wow, pretty cool insight in to negotiations
That will definitely be a limiting factor, even if the Bucs would have been interested… absolutely good insight @badabingbucs !
if we can fit one good pass rusher under the cap it would definitely help, our pass rush vs. good OL is non existing

my concern is that the front office new of this limitation in the off-season and their solution was Randy Gregory and Chris Braswell.
they didnt take it seriously and i think it's because they feel we are playing with house money
they are still trimming off the dead cap space of the Brady years. We weren't supposed to be good in 2023 or 2024. They are smiling ear to ear and playoffs would be icing on the cake in their eyes.
hope im wrong and they add an elite pass rusher but not sure there is a risk tolerance to trade 2 first for Max Crosby.
It’s not going to take 2 first round picks to get Crosby. Maybe a 1st and a 3rd. And we’ll hopefully be drafting around 24 to 32. Look our past drafts at those spots. Go get a difference maker and give your team a shot. Can you imagine having Maxx Crosby next to Vita and Kancey??? A dream. And it is going to hurt so badly if Detroit beats us to the punch.
They aren't going to trade Crosby. They just aren't. It would be like the Bucs trading Mike Evans. Team owners may be stupid, but they aren't dumb. It’s not going to take 2 first round picks to get Crosby. Maybe a 1st and a 3rd. And we’ll hopefully be drafting around 24 to 32. i mean the Raiders unloaded Amari Cooper and Khalil Mack
then then got rid of Derrick Carr, which Raiders fans liked despite his mediocracy
they just traded Davante Adams
i understand your point. hard to understand how they wouldn't think Crosby is a corner stone but they also are a poorly run franchise so there's that going for us.
and yeah would be bad if another NFC contender got him over us.
They aren't going to trade Crosby. They just aren't.
The odds of it happening, however low they were, just went up.

No, it wouldn't be like the Bucs trading Mike Evans. The Raiders aren't doing dick this year or the year after or the year after with the way the roster is currently constructed. They just traded Devante Adams, and players like Cooper, Mack, and Carr before that. They will trade their stars.
