That's why it didn't match what we've seen from Leftwich 2019-2021.
It certainly matched Leftwich from 2018.
One of the worst passing offenses in modern NFL history.
2019-2021 was Bruce.
Offense left when he did.
Bowles is an old school defensive coach and I believe the personnel and formations we used are because he wants to be a smash mouth team.
That sounds an awful lot like the guy Monken worked for the last see three seasons.
And lolz @ “you believe.” You also believed the offensive plays were called after the personnel was sent on the field. It’s like you’re new to how football works.
Because he bogs down the conversation with drivel.
i.e. destroys inferior opinions and outright horseshit. See above.
Good to see they are playing well on offense regardless of who the starting qb is. Will be a key thing for the team. I think Bowles isn't a great coach but he does know defense. This season will depend on how our starting qb does and our coaching performance consistency. He's a veteran coach and our staff is full of vets the team is full of vets. They learned from Brady a lot I'm sure over the last few years about winning. I mean at least you hope they did. I think expectations should be higher than maybe think its just the uncertainty at qb and I think tb fans know our coaching sucked last year but they are smart enough to learn. Maybe they can make the playoffs. I dont think the nfc south is really all that different from last year although all the teams should be closer than they've maybe been in some years. Should be kind of a fun year as long as they stay healthy and have learned some things over the years.
For all the claims of watching tape etc it’s hilarious watching so many self aggrandizing football people keep describing the Bucs in terms that match their prior failed arguments.
Monken was never coming here. The Bucs might surprise this year (hi hopes for Canales) but they are a team on way down IN TERMS IF THEIR NEED TO CLEAR MONEY, COACHING UNCERTAINTY and player uncertainty. This is not a Super Bowl team shackled by coaching lol. It’s the remnants of a team that never sniffs the SB without Brady and that has since declined (Gronk, Marpet etc).
I am not so sure about that.
I think the Bucs were close to progressing deep in 2021. For 2022 I will say it was a wash and that Brady did his best to keep the offense moving with some solid defensive efforts last season. But the wheels fell off not only because of lack of veteran players like Gronk or Marpet. Scheme wise on offense it was too predictable and defensively the Bucs did not have the depth to be able to play at a high level against better competition down the stretch.
But to think this team lacks talent is the mistake the national pundits are making. Other than the Lions, Hawks, and Eagles the Bucs in terms of talent are right up there which makes the NFC wide open. Dallas is a talented team but they also have a lot of question marks like the Bucs. Same with the Vikings and Packers. Then you have upcomers in Atlanta, Chicago and Carolina. Giant are a talented team but are they that much more talented than the Bucs? Which Saints team is going to show up this year? Not a slam dunk to say at this point.
Did the 49ers move to the AFC? They're top 3 in the NFC IMO, left out of your list above.
Trask is vastly improved and I think he is more confident rifling the ball now which helps immensely against NFL caliber coverage.
He really changed his body , and he seems to understand the position a lot more . Mayfield will get the nod , but he better not wet the bed , or Trask is in
Before this season is over, Trask is going to be our starting QB and is going to completely surprise this board, especially all those who claimed he was a wasted draft pic. Carlton Davis sees it already. Go Gators!!!!!
Good to see both Baker and Trask shining thus far.
The new vibe centers around new offensive coordinator Dave Canales, whose energy is just as invigorating as the new scheme, philosophy and plays he’s brought with him from Seattle. Canales has drawn rave reviews from multiple Pewter Report sources inside Bucs HQ so far. The results on the field have been quite positive, as the offense has succeeded at moving the ball and putting points on the board regularly through the first week of camp.

#Bucs OLB Shaq Barrett says that he has leaned on his family and tries to stay busy after the loss of his daughter in the offseason. He likes having to get out of bed and getting out on the field. It’s good for him. He appreciates being back and is going harder for her.
