This is for all those trusting Lovie to build this team and saying "give it time" or "they focused mostly on defense in Chicago" or " he's learned."He had 9 years to learn, how long do we give him in Tampa to mold his team and let it gel? It's not like he didn't get given the resources to use on offense either, just look below at the bulk of the offensive additions the Bears made during his time there (there's got to be more but that's quick 20 minute search), that's not ignoring the offense to me, they threw a bunch of picks & cash at that side of the ball with little to no improvement until Lovie was fired.FIRST ROUNDRB Cedric BensonTE Greg OlsenOT Chris WilliamsOL Gabe CarimiSECOND ROUNDWR Mark BradleyWR Devin Hester (converted from DB)RB Matt ForteWR Alshon JeffreyTHIRD ROUNDWR Bernard BerrianRB Garrett WolfeWR Earl BennettWR Juaquin IglesiasFOURTH ROUNDQB Kyle OrtonOC Josh BeekmanTE Evan RodriguezFIFTH ROUNDQB Craig KrenzelWR Airese CurrieTE Kellen DavisWR Johnny KnoxQB Nathan EnderleSIXTH ROUNDRB JD RunnelsOG Tyler ReedQB Dan LeFevourSEVENTH ROUNDOG Lance LewisOT J'Marcus WebbRB Harvey Unga (Supplemental pick)TRADESFB Bryan Johnson - 6th rounderOG Dan Buenning - Brian Griese and a seventh rounder (well the pick from the Griese trade went straight back) QB Jay Cutler - 2 first rounders, a third rounder & QB Kyle OrtonWR Brandon Marshall - 2 third roundersFREE AGENTSQB Chad HutchinsonQB Jonathan QuinnQB Brian GrieseQB Jason CampbellRB Thomas JonesRB Thump BeltonRB Tony HollingsRB Eddie WilliamsRB Chester TaylorRB Marion Barber IIIRB Michael BushWR Muhsin MuhammadWR Brandon LloydWR Marty Booker (resigned after Dolphins cut him)WR Sam HurdWR Eric WeemsWR Devin ThomasWR Roy WilliamsTE Bandon ManumaleunaTE Matt SpaethOT John TaitOT Orlando PaceOT Kevin ShafferOT Frank OmiyaleOG Ruben BrownOG Mike GandyOG Chilo RachalOC Chris SpencerOFFENSIVE COORDINATORSTerry SheaRon TurnerMike MartzMike TiceThat's a hell of a lot of turnover with some fairly big names involved and a whole bunch of known players, it wasn't through lack of spending resources that they sucked on offense. He ended up with a Pro Bowl QB, an elite WR, a top young WR, a Pro Bowl RB and failed because he wouldn't/couldn't get out of his own way.And the biggest problem for us is he's picked up right where he left off in Chicago, plenty of signings, trades and picks used with very poor results to show for it.Also remember Urlacher, Briggs and Tillman were already on that roster from the Jauron days when Lovie arrived so who were the major defensive players that he added to that roster, not flash in the pan/1 year wonders, considering he's such a defensive guru there should be a ton of them. This is a guy that had to have Adam Archuleta and swung trades to take Gaines Adams & Brian Price off our hands. Many people didn't want to listen before, are you listening now or is it going to take 0-5 or 4-12 with a shockingly bad offense before you realise his hiring in todays NFL was a huge mistake?Don't get me wrong, I'm not going to pile on and say he should have fixed every single position on the team and we should be playoff bound, this was a bad team and it was a bad year to have to fix some big problems like QB, it will take time, but time won't fix the biggest problem. People are all upset and shocked about what's happened, why are you shocked, are you blind or did you just choose to ignore what was staring you in the face when the Lovie hire was announced? This is what "we" signed up for bringing him in as head coach. It's not the medias fault if you believed the BS they were feeding you, all you needed to do was open your eyes. Now watch the impossible happen and we turn into the greatest show on turf over night, going 14-2 and if we did I couldn't be happier. Well that's a lie, there's certain things involving Scarlett Johansson, whipped cream and a ferret but we won't get into those.
