Overreaction Monday ranting is over. It's time for everyone to calm down a bit. Time to come back off the ledge.
Monday Rant: Baker rumored to be out for the year.
Tuesday Truth: He's banged up, may miss a week or two.
Monday Rant: The season is over. Fire the coach. Fire the OC. Former genius GM is dog shit.
Tuesday Truth: Bucs are in first place in the division and have a favorable schedule. We knew ahead of time this was a brutal stretch. We were planning to win one or two, but we knew we could lose all three. We knew that if we did lose all three it wouldn't be good, but it wouldn't be the end of the season.
So indeed it isn't the end of the season. Life goes on and the Bucs are not done. Bucky is back. Reddick, Bredesno may be back soon. Evans, Kancey and McMillan may be back before the end of the season. Lets get healthy, win the division and see what happens.
Truth is the Bucs are in a good position to reset the season and go on a run and even do some damage in the playoffs if they can get some of their key guys back. They have character guys, and this moment in time is just the time when that character comes into play.
if Baker misses time, that isn't good. Teddy looked brutal and even home games against Arizona and New Orleans become toss ups
The division is shit, so even at 9-8, i think we win it.
Carolina ultimately looking at 2 more losses with Rams and Seahawks so that's 8 losses right there. Panthers would have to essentially sweep us to have a chance
to me, it's not about the division race, although if Baker misses time, it somehow miraculously would be;
it's about how does this team stack up against the class of the NFC.
I know we are down guys like Evans and Bucky, etc but still would the result have been different with those guys. Hard to see the Rams game playing out differently. And lost by 12 points to the Bills and Tucker had a Monster game so still see that as a loss. Same with Detroit and our sluggish terrible start against Philadelphia. The only game that may have been up for grabs was New England but that's be being generous
This team likely still 6-5 even with all their horses to be frank
We dont measure up. Hope im wrong and this team gets an injection when their guys return but if anything, we are moving in the wrong direction on the injury front. Our QB is dinged now. that isn't good
Remember when Baker was banged up against the Panthers a few years ago. It took a 9-0 win over a 2 win team to clinch our playoff seat. Not ideal.
I feel better that Baker has a chance to play this week but this season is starting to feel like the 2022 8-9 year where we barely get in and get smoked by our opponent.
Tuesday truth... Bowles still chat handle above average offenses.
His defense can however hang with shitty teams so I expect a slight progression the next two weeks to give us false hope.
#2 hardest schedule. 12 key players have missed an average of 6 games. People have unrealistic expectations. What’s our worst loss? At Lions? Home Patriots? This is what everyone is bitching about?

Of the last 4 losses - Detroit, New England, Buffalo, and Los Angeles; what players that were missing would change the outcome?

i shut the Bucs game off at half time Sunday night. When was the last time the Bucs looked so shitty that was even an option? Maybe back in 2020 - the 38-3 Saint ass kicking?
It's been a while but that Rams loss was bad
and so bad that want Otton off the team. Under no circumstances should we resign him. Baker's got 5 INTs. 2 of them are Cade Otton, and than whatever the hell that hail marry decision was Sunday night.

Evans, Mauch, Bucky, McMillan. Throw Dean in vs Buffalo. Kieft is a big loss in the running game.

yepp, especially shitty QBs that can’t use soft zone with hardly any pass rush

So we 11-0 if healthy or what you have record at?

nice. Which games are losses?
Im trying to determine what you think switched from loss to a win with a healthy squad?

If we have a healthy team, particularly the O-line, playing all season we may beat the Patriots or even the Bulls. We were beating the Bills until the 4th quarter, as bad as that game was.
We probably lose one we shouldn't though. That's the way the NFL works. The Bills lost to the Dolphins right before us. The Bills are better. Razor tight margins
Agree with the overall point that we are not a top team
I think I rather have trask, only cause we know bridgewater is a mercenary, who gives off the feel he really wants to get back into coaching than take those hits.
Do I think the Bucs are better than the 8-3 bears yes.
We lost to Bills patriots Rams last 3 weeks not bad losses with 50million in cap on the bench (godwin, evans, reddick), we'll go something like 5-1 and have recency bias. Do I think we can win the superbowl probably not, if we face that rams team again we have a 1/100 shot. Outmatched at every phase.
Team is lacking elite communicators vs when we had guys like JPP, Suh, Brady who could tell what everyone to do and take some load off the coaching staff
