On another thread, GregB777 mentioned we turn the ball over 1 out of 4 drives. He thought it was 1/3 Fitzpatrick and 2/3 Winston. So I decided to chart all of the drives and here is the result. I originally included the safety as a turnover, but removed it since the NFL doesn't consider it a turnover.
Fitzpatrick – 59 drives, 9 turnovers. Of those, Fitzpatrick was responsible for 7, Godwin for 1, and Evans for 1. Turnover on 15.2% of the drives, or 11.9% as a result of Fitzpatrick’s turnovers.
Winston – 40 drives, 13 turnovers. Of those, Winston was responsible for 12 (10 Ints/ 2 fumbles lost) and Brate for 1. Turnover on 32.5% of the drives, or 30% as a result of Winston’s turnovers.
Turns out he was closer than he thought. That's really bad stats for Winston.
