I wouldn't mind waiting til the 3rd for a more well rounded TE in Fiedorowicz. Not quite the playmaker that ASJ is, but has the length and athleticism to develop into a redzone hotspot and a seam splitter. Will do wonders for the edge running game.

We don't have a third.

ASJ had a DUI, but I think he has stayed out of trouble since that happened.  Pretty good prospect IMO

Nice. A one dimensional pass rusher and a one dimensional pass catcher.Crown please![/qreally? everything I've read on these 2 are that they are both the most nfl ready and complete players at their respective positions. do a little research and you will see the same. READ A BOOK!!

I probably did a bit less reading than you did on these players. I probably have watched a bit more video than you have as well. Whilst you base your outlook on what other people write, I judge these players according to what I have seen on their videos. Mack is a 3-4 OLB. No question he would not fit what we do very well. This is where I think that a lot of people are just clueless. Lovie Smith will not draft a 3-4 OLB with the no.7 overall pick. I am confident of that.ASJ...where do I begin? Let me qualify this by saying that I have watched several entire games of all of the top 3 TE prospects. ASJ is going to be a big time threat at the next level catching the ball. His combination of size and athletic ability are very impressive. I predict that he will be very much Jimmy Graham like. But he is not a good in-line blocker. He gets pushed around like he has roller skates on while trying to block DL. Watch the games yourself, bro. ASJ is going to be a good player if he is in the right system. He is very capable of blocking LBs and DBs. So, as long as he goes to a team like NO who spreads the field and he is working from the slot he will be fine. If he were to go to a team that uses a standard NFL formation with the TE lining up on the end of the line, he will struggle as an in-line blocker. So there you go. My research is already done on these guys. I am not a big fan of either.

ASJ is the best blocker of the 3 big TE..

No he isn't. He is good at blocking small college linebackers and db's. He sucks blocking any college DLinemen. How does that translate into the NFL?  Find me one clip of him pancaking anyone with a devastating block 1 on 1. You can't. I have identified a major weaknesses with ASJ which is he has very poor lower body strength. He mysteriously falls down after catching the ball sometimes. He is routinely tackled by small college LB'S and DB'S. Find me one clip of him breaking a tackle, or carrying people into the end zone like Amaro does. Ebron is the only complete TE in the draft and after the combine you all will be on his jock strap. He can anchor and block out DL. He is also very good at blocking the college LB and DB's. He is the most complete TE with speed I have ever seen. His ceiling is very high. He is a top 15 talent if you ask me. And the more I think about ASJ the less I like him. I don't need my TE to be so one dimensional. We already have a good one dimensional TE. I want the beast Ebron or wait for CJ or another guy later. Not really a fan of the 2nd and 3rd best guys (allegedly).

It is a annoying, I guess they wanted to drop the "dead time" from the draft to training camps so football was being talked about for 10 months out of the year instead of 9.

I know why don't they start free agency right away in February? After the Superbowl? All of the players whose contracts are up should be able to negotiate right away. That would be much better if you ask me.

It's to allow a period of time when teams can resign or at least negotiate with their own guys before the free-for-all begins.
