Sounds like the Dirty Birds are staying with Cousins?
""Kirk played significantly better than he did the week before and we have the chance to go out there and focus on us and go out there and work on what we do and what we do well," Morris said. "We will do whatever is best to go win football games, but Kirk is definitely a part of that."
yeah i was hoping for Penix because then i can see rookie QB/Mistakes/Learning Curve having the Falcons drop maybe 2 of the next 4 games making them 8-9 and giving us some wiggle room.
Sticking with Cousins is the right move heading into a very winnable Raiders game and last 4 games of the year. Now, if Cousins doesn't perform against Raiders and continues to suck then i can see them moving to Penix in week 16. A loss to the Raiders likely all but ends the Falcons playoff hopes anyway.
Updated
1. Lions 12-2
2. Eagles 12-2
3. Bucs 8-6
4. Rams 8-6
5. Vikings 12-2
6. Packers 10-4
7. Commanders 9-5

8. Seahawks 8-6
9. Falcons 7-7
10. Cardinals 7-7
Bucs scenarios-
3-0 will clinch division and 3rd seed
At 2-1, one Falcons loss will clinch division. If Falcons go 3-0 then Bucs will need an additional Commanders loss (vs Eagles, @ Cowboys). Washington and Atlanta play Week 17
would be very upsetting if Bucs manage to lose 1 of their next 3 (assuming they need a win to clinch playoffs, not rest starters) after a convincing impressive road win against the Chargers
their next toughest game is this week, sunday night football on the road against Dallas. That being said, we are 4 point favorites.
Dallas the last 4 weeks is 3-1 averaging damn near 30 points a game. This game should not be overlooked but potential trap game.
then finishing at home to a gritty albeit 3 win Carolina team and back-up QB led Saints team, where we will be at least touchdown favorites in both.
so basically this week
1. Root for Bucs over Cowboys (obviously)
2. Root for Giants over Falcons (obviously)
3. Root for Eagles over Commanders (want that door open for a wild card in case we lose a game, this would essentially seal us a playoff birth with Falcons/Washington playing following week)
4. Root for Jets over Rams (assuming we want to maintain 3rd seed)
5. Root for Vikings over Seattle
6. Root for Carolina over Arizona (two fold - the whole, Carolina just won, maybe drops next week against Bucs and eliminating Arizona from the 10-7 mix)
7. Root for Texans over Chiefs (sorry, became a Brady fan once he came here, can't have Mahomes catch him in rings)
a whole another scenario is assuming we get 3rd seed, would we rather play Commanders or Packers in which i think the answer is Washington; but i am not confident we win out so let's not get cocky. Hell, excluding the 2020 playoffs, and just regular season, when was the last time this franchise won 5 games in a row?

Like your breakout.
Although, after last week, Cowboys are as tough an out as Chargers.
Yes, Diggs is out at the exact moment Mike is publicly stating he starting to feel like himself…Will need Jalen to continue to be steady and available - and the run game to be ready.
Health is key at this point, but that 5 game win streak think is lurking in the back of my brain.

thats a lot of rooting!
Penix has been named the starter for the Falcon's moving forward.

Doesn't help us at all. He's clearly better

the hope obviously is rookie mistake and learning curve which could make them lose games they otherwise should have won
Honestly, we should lose any remaining regular season games. What better way to shake off the prime time shit performances by facing a winnable game
Honestly, we should lose any remaining regular season games
I think you meant we should NOT lol
If we just try to ignore all the contingencies with other teams how does it play out?
if we finish 3-0 we are in the playoffs
If we finish 2-1 we are still in the playoffs or only in the playoffs if "x" happens?
I we finish 1-2 or worse we are out?

He's gonna be like Bo Nix. These QBs are coming out having played 5 college seasons. This isn't Anthony Richardson who is still learning the position.
Penix will I'm sure have some growing pains based on the speed but his velocity vs cousins are night and day

lol yes should NOT!
well 3-0 and we are in the playoffs
at 2-1, we would need either most likely scenario
to win division, falcons need to lose 1 game remaining - NYG, WAS, CAR.
or if falcons win out, to get a wild card
Washington would need to lose another game - PHI, DAL as they have already would have lost to ATL in this scenario
if we go 1-2, we dont deserve playoffs and honestly too difficult to figure out at this time, let's cross that bridge if we lose to the damn Cowboys sunday night!

thanks
we control our own destiny so go win out!
we are in a great position, that’s goid
since noone is going to lose to giants, us winning tonight and commanders loss to falcons would make coming days feel really cool
