Most people were expecting the Bucs to lose to the Chargers and then defeat Cowboys, Panthers and Saints. So nothing has changed at the overall outcome of 3-1 down the stretch. Bucs are 1-1 and have to win their next two games.

the Falcons looked pretty damn good against the Giants as did this fraud team.
Bucs were 9 point favorites over Carolina and have dropped to 7.5 given that pathetic performance last night
We are now relying on a Falcons loss who are just 4.5 point underdogs on the road against Washington.
crazy how similar to last year
The Chargers win being similar to that of Jacksonville while the Cowboys loss being similar to Saints

What changed was the Falcons making a QB switch and the Commanders beating the Eagles. If Philly won the Commanders/Falcons game would be a defacto playoff game and we were in at 10-7. Now if Atantla wins our playoff chances are pretty much gone.

yeah, honestly we dont deserve the playoffs anyway
that was pathetic, prime time, playoff lives at stake; Cowboys playing for nothing with back-up QB, lame duck head coach. Brutal.
Defense showed up when they needed too in the end and our offense tripped over their own dicks with turnovers
Here are the matchup scenarios for the Bucs. All predicated on a Bucs win.
Rams loss + Washington win = Washington
Rams loss + Washington loss + Packers win = Packers
Rams win + Lions win = Vikings
Rams win + Vikings win = Lions
Appearantly Rams are resting starters. Think it's a big mistake and helps the Bucs.

I get they’ve been banged up all year, but I completely agree with you.
Big difference between those draws.

I thought McVay has in the past rested starters, but could be wrong. He did offer his thoughts though and its pretty interesting because he acknowledges it is a tough call
"“It might not be best for everybody else, but if you said risk-reward, I think it’s a great opportunity for Jimmy to be able to play. I think it’s also an awesome opportunity for Matthew to be able to get rested, rejuvenated and ready to roll for the playoffs. He’s accumulated so much experience. I think that’s the important thing while also saying this is an important game for us. We want to go compete to the best of our ability, don’t minimize that. Ultimately, you’re just weighing the pros and cons and tilting in those scales. Those are things that we’ve kind of done when we’ve been in similar situations. What I do acknowledge is that while it might not be for everybody, you try to have a thought process in regard to why you make these decisions. You use other people that you really value their input and then you’re able to articulate that with an open and honest dialogue with our players. They’ve always been so great about how we handle it.”
This year it's different because the Vikings and Lions are 1 seeds in almost any other year. If you have the choice to play Washington you have to "risk" it because the Vikings or Lions are likely going to run through whoever they play in the first round.
However it shakes out I want (in order):
Rams
Washington
Packers
Vikings/Lions

definitely a fair point. He doesn't even address it, at least in what I have seen. if they put starters out and win do they control that though? I thought your chart suggested the opposite but may just be reading it wrong
We’ll definitely rooting for Seahawks after Tampa this weekend
with 3rd seed, likely getting commanders in first round
Which would mean eagles or hosting the 5th seed (call it Vikings) in second round

Rams
Washington
Packers

Interesting. I think LA is soft and their secondary is ass.
However McVay historically shreds Bowles (but who doesn't?)
What do you have them lower?
first round
if third seed, Bucs are playing either Packers or Commanders, which if both teams win on Sunday against their lesser opponents, would be the Commanders.
if fourth seed, we play either the Lions or Vikings; the loser of Sunday nights game.
2nd round
if third seed, and Eagles win in 1st round; we would be traveling to Philly to play them. If Eagles lose, we would play the winner of the Rams/2nd place NFC North team. In that scenario, would much prefer the Rams over a 14 win team.

You pretty much named it.
With a healthy Stafford, Nakua, and Kupp; McVay would shred Bowles.
