I just rewatched the Bucs-Dolphins game and here is what I have come away with:Positives:1) First string defense looks very good, especially our run defense. McCoy is an obvious monster but McDonald, David, Barron and Banks I thought looked good as a first string unit. Can't wait for Verner to join in.2) Evans is going to be good...impressive acceleration after the catch on the one "almost" TD play. I think ASJ is going to be a good one as well...3) Doug Martin and Rainey looked good... Lane is intriguing...We will have a nice running game.4) O-line looked better, especially with run blocking...I think with effective game planning we will get better in protection. It is still a weakness, though and the fact that our QBs hold the ball too long at times does not help.5) Patton looked impressive as a returner...Would like to see him get more opportunities next game with the first unit on special teams.Negatives1) Josh looked better but still holds the ball too long at times. I hope Tedford gameplans to get the ball out quicker, especially with screens because with our o-line and Josh's indecision issues, we are not the greatest at simply dropping back and making the intermediate to deep throws.2) I use to like Glennon but the more and more I see him, I am not too sure. Not the greatest decision maker and often holds the ball too much as well. I think we need to go QB in the first round next year.3) Our defensive ends our strong against the run and have the ability to line up inside as well but are not great edge rushers. They should be more effective, especially with a beast like McCoy constantly penetrating the middle. For those of you who hated our stunts last year, we ran quite a few last night with our first team, especially with Claiborne.4) Injuries... I really think Sims would be a beast in this offense. Gholston is another key piece and I hope his injury is not too serious. I know Scott thought he played poorly, but I like Melvin and thought he had pretty good coverage on a serious burner in Wallace (he was right there with them)...Final scores in preseason are misleading as you know. I just watched the Falcons-Texans and it was just 7-0 Texans with the starters in there... Not a bad game for us at all... Go Bucs!
