to me the old skull was 2d flat like. The new skull has more of a 3d depth look to it.

Me too. But its all over the main website. Terrible rendering on the site. If we hadn't seen it on NFLN, everyone would think we have black helmets. I think they are trying to give the worn weathered metal look (special shading) around the contoured areas, like the ear area, and top. Its very noticeable at certain angles. A very awesome idea, I never would have thought of it..

At the right angle, I can see the different colors also..
