and yet the focus is on the Head coach . . . whose been here how long?  and NOT on a GM  . . . in what year?

Is that the Head Coach who has his linemen dance around so he can bring two people from the next level to create pressure?

so Dom has loaded the D-line with quality, its just that Schiano misuses them all . . . . .  got it.  ;)

Do you remember Michael Bennett and George Selvie? Clearly Schiano knew what he had in those two guys. OR WAIT! COULD IT BE THAT WE'VE BLITZED AND RAN STUNTS HEAVILY IN CONSECUTIVE YEARS BECAUSE THATS THE HEAD COACHES SYSTEM?! nah, couldn't be

Now I remember! Coach is an offensive coach, with a history of offensive coaching positions. Of course the defense he runs isn't his own system.

Lol, that doesn't even make sense. Oh well, carry on.

Bowers really screwed thing up, he was supposed to be Clowney-like, and turned out to be Ryan Leaf-like. If he was playing like Quinn is now, it would really make a big difference.

The D-line is pretty much solved right now. Scheme has limited the current line. They have UT, NT, and DE pretty much set.

Cant read? Never said DE was completely set.

DE is set? We have depth, no starters.

No depth?

LOL. Pretty much set = completely set? Way to leave out where I said they piece they needed was a pass rusher.

So do you honestly think that clayborn is at his best running inside stunts and dropping into coverage? Do you see him more as a 3-4 olb type that schiano is using him as?

"Way to leave out where I said they piece they needed was a pass rusher."No, you said an elite edge rusher would put them over the top. I'm the one who said we have depth but no starters, a situation you referred to as "pretty much set."

The good news is that the Bucs will have some cap room, 20M+ without releasing anyone still under contract, so there is still the potential to get some added players to help next years team. I suspect either Joseph or Nicks will be let go, probably Nicks, freeing up another 7-8M as well. Joseph might be asked to take a pay cut.I'm pretty sure that Schiano/Dominik get another year from the Glazers.

Nicks doesn't free up that much cap space anymore because Dominik inexplicably restructured the contract AFTER his surgery. The guy must have a fetish for investing in injured players (Winslow, Price, Bowers, Claiborne, Revis, etc). He counts $9.4M if on the team, $7.1M if released.
