then that tells me that the Panthers are playing a a very high level against the top NFC competition.
Why did they lose to the Saints and the Browns?
Every week is a different game.
the way nthe game plays out suggest the Rams were off their game, 2 INTS early oner a pick 6 I think.
BUT, Carolina is no joke because they have a decent defense and GOOD run game and those two components mean they can win games. Its entirely possible the Bucs lose to Carolina.
The benefit of a run game and defense:
"Carolina was a 10-point underdog to the Rams and a 13-point underdog to the Packers. Other than those two Panthers wins, NFL teams are 0-15 this season when underdogs by 10 or more points.
The Panthers have had a season in which the betting lines don’t know how to figure them out: The most they’ve been favored by in any game this season was a 5.5-point spread against the Saints, and they ended up losing that game 17-7. The only other time they’ve been favored was by one point against the Jets.
And yet as underdogs, they actually have a winning record straight up: They’ve been underdogs in 11 games, and they’re 6-5 in those games."
Given I believe only the saints have done it once since the alignment of going 6-0, Bucs are likely to lose a division game
weve been 4-2 since our playoff streak
hoping for 5-1 this year and looking like that road Carolina game is a loss
Depends which Carolina team shows up and more importantly what Bucs team shows up
one game at a time tho. Beat the saints
Tampa Bay vs. Rams: 4.2 YPC
Carolina vs. Rams: 4.1 YPC
The defense was the difference.

id argue the offense being shit and having us down 14-0 early set the tempo of the game
as soon as Otton did his thing, that was game over

Yeah, the pick-six in Q1 didn't help anything. But the defense gave up 24 points in the first half - not counting the pick-six.
The defense never got off of the field in the first half. Their offense had 4 first-half drives: TD, TD, TD, FG.

For sure but in the Panthers v Rams game the Rams have the ball for 24 minutes versus the Panthers 35ish.
I think the Panthers rush 40ish times, versus about 30 passss
In the 4th quater the Panthers ahve a 15 play and two play drives
A run game is defense against a team like the Rams. This is old school football the Bucs used to rely on A LOT
This is from the post game
"I just feel like we really just got back to our identity there in terms of being able to grind and pound and just impose our will on the line of scrimmage," left tackle Ikem Ekwonu said. "I mean it definitely feels good, all those runs that were called today. We take it to heart. As an offensive lineman, you know, we want the onus on us.
McMillan practicing and Evans back soon too?
Bowles was then asked about Evans returning to practice this week. “That’s a possibility as well,” he said.
McMillan has been out 12 weeks so this is actually behind schedule
Yep I posted before it wouldn't have surprised me if he just retired. Pretty bad injury

No. There’s never been any discussion about his retirement, Florio.
He’ll be our most sure handed receiver upon his return.
