Arians came in and was going to fix things and went 7-9.
Bruce went 31-18 with a SB win.
Again, what is your record as a GM?
Lets compare your resume to Licht’s.
Brady and Gronk aren't coming back. We're back to Licht's norm.
Again, chickenshit, post your resume.
Let’s see if your “norm” is superior to JL’s.
how is this roster above average right now?
We have a top 12 QB when healthy. Him going cold for this stretch doesn't diminish how elite he was early.
We have 3 good RBs being underutilized by shit play calling.
We have 5 good WRs that is currently fully healthy and massively underutilized.
Our TE group is the worst in the league.
Our offensive line has 1 superstar, a good RT, and a good RG. Barton needs to improve and we need Breadson to switch to center where he is serviceble.
We have 4 good CBs
We have a former all-pro safety who's playing poorly since getting paid and Smith could still be very good despite his struggles lately.
Front 7 is trash but we still have Vea, Reddick, and Diaby who are all good enough if used correctly.
The rest of the front seven are David a year past his experation, the worst MLB in football, and a bunch of 1st and 2nd rounders that Licht either whiffed on or we couldn't develop.
We have an elite kicker
We have a below average punter
Our depths sucks as evident by our special teams
Our cap hell is almost done...
It's a top 16 unit in terms of talent for sure...
Licht isn't without fault in it obviously
We have 4 good CBs
We have a former all-pro safety who's playing poorly since getting paid and Smith could still be very good despite his struggles lately.

so many asterisks to add
1. "4 good CBs" -- Dean freelancing and McCollum playing like he's fat and happy = a couple of rookies
2. "We have a former all-pro . . ." - the titles don't matter and you say both S playing poorly . . AGREED
"Front 7 is trash" -- THE END, at least for most defenses. Name a good defense with a trash front 7? The best usually have dominant players in the front 4, at least.
THE BIGGEST ASTERISKS THOUGH:
3. A team can have a good set of defensive players, but when they lose trust in each other . . . its over, its a BAD defense. Full stop. From run defense to pass defense, it takes 11 committed and disciplined players. If you already start from a talent deficit ("trash front 7") then the wheels come off in spectacular fashion when the losing starts. Tykee Smith benched is pretty significant.
4. The Bucs defense has an "I got mine" problem and this falls heavily on Bowles. Dean (and Davis before him) stand out. McCollum watched Dean. AWJ is a little surprising, but hard to say he is not alos infected. White before all of them. Bowles said "it has to be more than a job . . ."
And that highlights that the defense has been without a DOMINANT leader -- a Sapp or Nickerson, demanding the best out of everyone -- for a LONG time. LVD was maybe that a few years ago, but only by example.
Falcons beat the Rams.
Saints are on fire...
So we are essentially the worst team in the worst division yet we can still win it lol
While Licht certainly has his faults, he also has brought in some quality starters over the years. He's 2 wins away from being the ONLY 100 win GM in team history(granted there have been some stinkers in our 50 year history, but there have also been some decent ones) I feel its safe to say he's nowhere near the issue that JC (troll) make him out to be. Is he perfect ? No, but he is better than the majority of other GM's in the league. Now to Bowles the HC AND DC. The fact that he came out and admitted that he wasn't opposed to firing the ST coach, but that it also hadn't crossed his mind is troublesome. It's also troublesome when you have I think it was Vilma saying during the broadcast about how Miami had baited Bowles into calling that zero blitz that gave up the TD. Granted Vilma is a Saints homer, but he does have some solid insights during his broadcasts. I also feel like the 30 runs against the Panthroids the previous week was a mandate from Bowles to Griz to be carried out regardless of what was Carolina was doing defensively. I also attribute the entirety of this defense to Bowles....Most coaches when defenses break down will dial it back and simplify it, but given the scheme and the exotic blitzes that he really isn't afforded that option. I would have liked to have seen Bowles give up defensive play calling the way a lot of head coaches give up playcalling when things aren't working, one to see what we have in Foote but also because I feel like the defense has defintely suffered since Bowles hasn't been able to give it 100% of his attention. Throw in the mis-management of T.O's over the years and the general boneheaded play call at the worst possible moment. In my mind there is really no scenario where Bowles should come back next year, unless we somehow slide ass first into the playoffs and somehow manage to make it to the NFC championship game or the SB, and even then it would feel like fools gold.
yeah listen Licht is far from perfect. And as much as some may want to discount 2020 Superbowl because of Brady, we dont win a superbowl with out Licht's drafts
think about the key contributors/supporting players on that run - all Licht picks - Evans, Donovan Smith, Ali Marpet, Godwin, Vita Vea, Ronald Jones, Carlton Davis, Alex Cappa, Jordan Whitehead, Devin White, Sean Murphy Bunting, Jamel Dean, Mike Edwards, Scotty Miller, Tristian Wirfs, AWJ, Tyler Johnson.
now, alot of those players may not have worked out in the long run, but for that run, they were all key contributors. We dont win without them.
Now, while i think Bowles needs to be replaced, i think Lichts seat should be warm. He better get this hire right or i think he is shown the door with the next coach.
his drafts have been lackluster minus a few
2014 to 2017 - brutal. He managed to get guys like Evans and Godwin, whiffed on Jameis which happens when you take a flier on a QB, got some supporting roles with Smith and Marpet but really was ass, particularly the 2016 draft with Hargreaves and Aguayo
2018 to 2020 - Awesome. This is where we thought he maybe turned the corner on his talent evaulation - almost all the guys mentioned above came within this 3 year span.
2021 - Brutal. WTF was that? a back-up QB projected to be a back-up QB, a kick returner, and a flier on a development edge rusher. Brutal
2022 -2025 - EHHH. This is where JC5100 is coming from. We got Goedeke, McMillian, Bucky Irving, and Emeka Egbuka in these 4 drafts. that's pretty said. Other guys include Logan Hall, Rachaad White, Cade Otton, Zyon McCollum, Calijan Kancey, Cody Mauch, Yaya Diaby, Sirvocea Dennis, Graham Barton, Tykee Smith, Ben Morrison and Jacon Parrish. So far all of thes guys rank in the replaceable category
Licht should be on the hot seat and 2026 should be first offseason in a while where he should have ample money to improve the team. It seems from a free agency perspective other than Reddick and Mayfield, have not done much from an external view point in the last 3 seasons.
to me, Bowles is replaced this year, Licht gets to pick his coach and if this new coach doesnt work out, you then look to potentially upgrade GM then. But, given the Superbowl win and consecutive playoff streak, despite a poor head coach, Licht gets one more crack at it.
@badabingbucs Pretty much how I feel also. I would be curious how much influence the coaches at the time of those previous drafts had into the picks also...I'd imagine it was a situation where the scouts, coaches, and Licht were evaluating their big board with input from assistant coaches on traits that they liked and could develop. Thats another gripe I meant to re-iterate earlier in my post, that no player on the defensive side of the ball has really been developed, and shown any kind of growth from one year to the next since Bowles took over...but I digress...As I was saying Bowles clearly had a say in Hall, I would imagine he also had a pretty big say in JTS seeing as he was one of his guys. Same with Devin White even though he was still a DC during that time. I still feel like Trask was an Arians request, seeing as Brady was on retirement watch...Thats the tricky part of drafting is we as fans never know who the coaches asked for. I realize its different circumstance as they were owner/GM's, but Licht doesn't strike me as a Jerry Jones or Al Davis type "GM" where they just take who they want with no, or very little outside input.

Teddy Bridgewater was plan B in 2020. What is the 2020 record without Brady and the guys who brought with him?
I’m starting to think JC5100 is Bowles’ wife’s catfish account.

Either that, or Josh Freeman's boyfriend.

Doesn't matter, because he DID bring in Brady and all those other guys with him. That's what good GM's do. Can't pick and choose what counts and what doesn't just to fit your agenda. He did it end of story. Would we have won a superbowl in 2002 without the Glazers stepping in to grab Gruden? Do we win a SB without Arians or Licht ? Licht built that talent on this team that caused Brady and Arians to want to come here.

When you want so badly to criticize the GM that you make up your own reality to ignore the Super Bowl he won.
"sure .. a Super Bowl ... that plan B tho"
