As usual you’re showing your narrow-minded way of thinking…no wonder you were fired as a GM( if you ever were really one ). Chukwuma was an undrafted free agent with limited experience playing the game, yet has a decent ceiling as he continues to learn the intricacies of the game both through coaching and Wirfs/Goedeke. I don’t think he should be a dedicated LT, but as a swing I think he’s solid. He had a bad game last game no doubt but it happens to every player at some point in their career. And while he may not be a good Center yet Barton has value. Be it at C or G. He’ll be a solid C/G or he’ll be solid depth. Maxx Crosby is quickly approaching that cliff he may have had a decent past few years but so did Shaq Barrett before his skills crashed like the stock market during the depression. Yes there are pieces that need added/subtracted, but as I previously mentioned a lot of our talent is either being misused or not properly developed

I'm a pretty big Barton hater but he might come on in his third year. We all didn't like Goedeke and Mauch (granted that learning curve came from a small school where Barton went to Duke)... But Barton could play lights out next year.

I'd be fine with this but raiders already have a center they refuse to play at center so idk what they would do with him and JPJ.
Also Barton is still cheap contract wise so you get some major flexibility with him vs signing a center and getting Crosby.

I know this isn't directed at me but ftr I don't think he's a "bust". He's starting basically every game. I think he should have been graded later and since he doesn't have a true spot on the line (or as some call it, he's versatile) I'm a little perplexed why we thought he'd transition to center...
All that said I'm holding out hope year 3 clicks for him and we get some good ROI. Im not giving up on him yet... But he's not good enough to anchor the middle like you'd hope for a first round center.

yeah geodeke was pretty pedestrian to start this career as well but would agree that next year is make or break for Barton.
