Niceky done - solid TEAM win. Some things to clean up - but much more like it!
Interesting take on the pass heavy offense
“Joe doesn’t believe Todd Bowles has any kind of leash on new Bucs offensive coordinator Liam Coen. That’s just how Bowles is.”
Eagles fan site:
”
This game was over in the first half. With 7:24 left in the second quarter, the Eagles had more turnovers than they had yards, down 24-0, giving up 254 yards of total offense to the Eagles’ 0 yards of offense.”
To me, the MVP on the offensive side of the ball was Liam.
He finally adjusted his game plan. His situational play calling was outstanding. He set Baker up for success (who subsequently played a helluva game) and played to the strengths of the offense. Got our best offensive player (Evans) involved from the start...early and often.
When we went up 21-0, we had run only 3 times versus passing 9 times on first down. Again, outstanding play calling and philosophy shift. And, the execution was equally good.
We won the explosives count:
White (Run)
White (Pass - Baker)
Irving (Run)
Godwin (Pass - Baker)
Evans (Pass - Baker)
Shepard (Pass - Baker) X-Factor Bonus
These types of adjustments were the things Canales wouldn't do.
On defense, the MVP was Lavonte.
Sweet Baby Jesus....he's still playing elite ball. High motor. Plays through the whistle.
Dude is Canton bound.
Two divisional games on the road coming up. Have the opportunity to put a big gap between us and 2nd place in the NFCS.
I'm gonna nitpick Coen who called an excellent game.
His clock management wasn't great and expecting Baker to throw it almost 50 times, won't win you a ton of games.
When they got it to 14 and had the ball, I was sweating a little. There was so much time left.
Baker also needs to understand the situation... A few too many deep shots.
I would have liked to see more screens (both would have worked well if Bucky didn't drop his) and commit to the run. We ran the ball well...
But again that's nitpicking and he did call a great game
Good win
Broncos loss a blip
Broncos get their 2nd straight road win vs Kaaron Rodgers and the Jets. Looking like they're not quite as bad as their 0-2 start seemed.
Nice win, great to watch and not be stressed. It will be interesting to see if the Bucs can carry this momentum on through Atlanta.

I saw that
The Commanders also won.
One of the many great things about the NFL is that every season unfolds unevenly against last season's performances.

not be stressed? i don't know about you guys but i didnt become "unstressed" until we kicked a field goal to make it 33-16 early in the 4th quarter
when they returned the extra point for 2, made it a 2 score game; then Eagles were driving in our redzone until LVD came thru clutch with the fumble, but before that fumble, dont tell me you guys weren't saying "Oh wtf guys" lol
I was already having flashbacks of blowing leads.
I never think games are over
SVD falls to the ground and probably fractures a collar bone or separates his shoulder, so he is probably gone for a while. Britt has been terrible.
We are thin at LB
There's a disgruntled, inactive Eagles MLB hanging around on The X:
Auman - "He's since deleted it, but Devin White -- inactive today -- retweeted a tweet about Lavonte David's forced fumble against his own team."
Might a reunion be underway?
(slinks off slowly)
