I’m so fucking pissed off at that because they gave em that game. That should’ve been a facemask & offsetting penalties. That was the game right there. Despite all the injuries & the stupid soft coverage on the money downs we should’ve won that game. It’s bullishit
Have to play for the TD which is why you don't want the refs to steer the outcome of the game. The refs were really biased toward the Falcons so you have to play to win. It is as simple as that.
I remember years ago we were the visiting team and the refs were calling everything for the home team. So our coach is like we are going all out and we did and we overcame and won despite the refs.
Bowles has to be able to read this as a HC and say you know what we need to go all out because my defense is not stopping anyone and the refs are not calling it our way tonight.
The fumble by Irving was a killer. It would have been 2nd-and-3 from the 32 yard line, with a running clock. The offense was going to take more time off the clock or make Atl use their TO's and then score, either FG or TD. If the game comes down to one play, that's it.
But Bowles has to wear this one. He was making bad decisions as a HC and bad decisions a DC all night long. There was one 4th-and-15 play earlier in the game where Bowles left Britt, a guy he and everyone else on the planet knows struggles in coverage, out on the field. The decision to accept a holding call instead of take the result of the play, which was a 2-yard loss for 2nd-and-12. The decision to challenge a clear pass, which was ruled an intentional grouding. Just one thing after another with the HC/DC in last night's game. He was outcoached by Raheem Morris. He has to do better.

Absolutely brutal. We win the game there. Worst case scenario, we kick the field goal, go up 6, and Atlanta has little time to get the TD and no time outs.

Bucky fumble was huge. Barton getting beat all game at the worst possible time. Smith flat footed. Braswell is useless and he kept dropping in coverage.
The rookies weren't good...
But this loss is 95% on Bowles. Both as a head coach and as the DC.
And his lack of emotion during these times really irks me.

Our secondary is going to re-invent a lot of recovering QB’s. Good thing we’re not playing Aaron Rodgers.
It wasn’t hard to disect the Bucs tonight, but he certainly showed well for a guy coming off two ACL tears… yeah, I’ll take my lumps, Kirk delivered for Atlanta. Fire away, I deserve it.
