@bucsbits - problem is LVD is a sideline to sideline linebacker. Dennis has to play in small spaces to be successful.
Well, thats why I said the current version of LVD. Or, Maybe better described as the previous Devin White role. Blitzing, TFL, run fits, but limited coverage responsibilities.
LVD has been a truly special player with this coverage skills

At the Bye, SVD is the #2 LB in the league in SOLO Tackles. He's in probably the top 15 in TOTAL tackles. he's beating LVD in every stat except sacks where he trails by 1/2 sack.
Our best LB in terms of tackles is actually . . . Tykee Smith lol. Up in the top 10 in total tackles. Only S on the list. Would be interesting to see the heat map. Is he tackling big gains or is it that hes most often in the hole? The Gibbs break out run was him gettin blocked out of the hole, a rare occurrence,
Josh Q on trade targets
"Trade Target One – Jordyn Brooks – Miami
Brooks has plus athleticism and has a history of playing well in space. His contract is easily taken on as Miami just restructured his 2025 salary. If the Bucs were to make a move for him, they would take on minimal salary for 2025. Brooks is owed $8,375,000 next year, but none of that money is guaranteed. He would probably fetch a 4th rounder with maybe a late pick swap coming back.
Brooks would absolutely help the Bucs pass defense and would represent a huge upgrade in the defense’s ability to limit backs out of the backfield – an area the Bucs are currently last in the NFL. He has allowed just a 1.7 EPA when targeted this season. Juxtapose that with Dennis who has allowed a 29.0 EPA on just one extra target."

Dennis is a MLB so you'd expect him to lead in tackles... He's probably leading in missed tackles too. Teams are picking on him.

I think mostly in the passing game.
Brooks, Bush, and Dodson are huge no's.
Seahawks passed on re-signing on all of them or outright cut them. And Mac with his defensive scheme relies on LB's to be able to play in space and to move around Emmanwori around like a joker on the backend. They can shift Spoon in nickle or boundary to confuse defenses but all that movement in their secondary relies on their better LB's on their roster and Love playing centerfield.
Bowles is a fan
"Voss has really settled in and taken over the defense for us,” Bowles told the Buccaneers Radio Network yesterday. “He got through clean [on his sack in New Orleans]. He really got through clean. He beat the running back right there and got through clean and got himself a sack. He’s really starting to get back to his college pass rush days. And he’s really getting comfortable back there and you could see it.”
