+2.5 at home. Very telling. Luckily we have a top 10 rushing offense. Don’t need to pass 50 times a game like we usually do with the 32nd ranked rushing offense. Nice having a competent line & RBs!
Also confident in containing bijan. We contained Henry sans 2 big runs. Our pass defense & lack of pass rush is what worries me.
DBUC, I love ya, but that’s really optimistic. Bijan isn’t Henry, but I don’t think we can say we contained Henry. Outside of those two big runs, he ate us alive for 1st down conversions.

Maybe we can compete by slowing it down with the run game and grinding uk yards…but Baker doesn’t have the confidence in the little things with these unknown/unproven receivers. I like the idea of using White in the passing game more - maybe like TE/Slot? That could get him out of the traffic and into space where he’s more dangerous. And maybe relying on Otton until he absorbs too much…
I’m nit saying Atlanta is going to roll us, but it’s going to be a lot harder than you’re implying…and beyond Atlanta, we still have to go through San Fran & KC….after being neutered.

I agree with you, tough game now with the injuries, but I would've been very hopeful before because we almost won even with Methusala going big.
One reason the Bucs run game has excelled is the threat of Evans and Godwin, in particular, so what would help the Bucs would be to have their replacements (if Evans is out) really shine in the next game. Next man UP!
Yes, Mike’s outrageous catch radius makes up for Baker’s off-target periods in every game. That won’t be there for a few weeks. He’s going to have to have a sharp/accurate game against Atlanta - cuz we have no one on the roster that can do what Mike & Chris do.
However, Shep may have enough in the tank to hold down Mike’s position (no one can do Mike, except Mike) until he returns.
While he doesn’t yet have the build for for it, we know JMac was thought to be a better candidate doing Chris’ underneath stuff.
We know opponents are just going to stack the box and make Baker throw to receivers that don’t have any reputation for scaring any defenses. Maybe they’ll surprise? I think this week is the best chance for that to happen. Of course, the defense is still going to have to show up and force some field goals.

I think the team will play inspired football (and for Godwin and Mike). Come in with a chip on their shoulders. Wanting to prove that they are more than just 2 players.
I hope Coen comes out and passes on the first play of the game and sets an aggressive tone. Air it out early and then pound the shit out of them with Tuck/White/Buck.
I really feel Coen can put together a game plan to get us to 24 or 28 points. But can our defense slow them down?

Evans himself is irreplaceable, but he should be back and we have several guys who can play the stretch role, but Godwin is a huge blocker and almost unstoppable in short space receptions because of his strength speed and experience combo.

The concern I have is that Cousins & Co. sliced and diced the Bucs defense for a franchise record a few weeks ago in Atlanta. The Falcons will get more possessions due to a shorthanded Bucs offense. I have a low degree of confidence in the Bucs pulling out a win. Hope they do, but it's not looking good.

Same. I’m not even concerned with the offense because it won’t matter if the defense shits the bed again. Falcons exposed them in the middle of the field. Why would they deviate from that? Especially knowing that hard head Bowles is gonna trot KJ Britt out there again. I think it’s wishful thinking to think we could win, but if we’re still unable to generate consistent pressure/sacks we will get CARVED up.
