They no longer have Brady to cover up for them. This is a bottom 5 coaching staff.
Licht has been the best gm we ever had. Hard to criticize him a ton right now. Made mistakes sure. But he's made some great choices that helped the team over the years too. Do gms go to hof? I don't think so but he'd be a candidate being one of the better gms of his time.
I think Licht is a very good GM but unfortunately he is saddled with Bowles who has plateaued as a HC so far.
I've been impressed by how much Licht has improved since he first came on board. He's made mistakes, but learned from them and grew. There is room for continued growth, but he's come a long way.
I'm not nearly as impressed with Bowles. I agree with Alldaway 2.0 that he has done about as much as he can here in Tampa Bay. Winning the division is great, but I'd be way more impressed with deep playoff runs, and I don't believe he will get us there. He seems to be set in his ways, and opponents have figured that out. There are other issues we have discussed here ad nauseum.
I grew up a Redskins fan, and we were spoiled for years by the team being in the playoff mix most years during a 10-12 run with Joe Gibbs as HC. It is incredibly fun to have a team like that every season. I became a Bucs fan when we moved here in 2010. The past 5 years have been a great run. This organization and team has so much potential, but I'm not confident Bowles will get the Bucs beyond 8-10 wins each season.
