Resist the urge to give a smart ass response lol. Leave the pouting, DEI nonsense out. heaven forbid, one thread immune for trolling!

What are your expectation for the Bucs 2026 record TODAY when there is so much uncertainty and all we really know

1. Bowles stays

2. Most staff fired

3. unclear who the new staff will be

4. unclear if Evans or LVD return

With that level of uncertainty what would you expectation be for the Bucs record in 2026 and/or the outcome of the 2026 season? We'll see if anyone modifies their expectation as we go along through the offseason. hiring of coaches etc.

Dont try to set Bowles and the Bucs up for failure ("derp . . . anything less than 10-7 . .").  What do you actually think as the Bucs sit here now?

I will say 7-10 and Bowles is fired or retires at the end of the season. As we sit here today.

Bowles is being given one more chance by the Glazers/Licht. He fails. He's fired...not kicked into a front office position, but FIRED. 7-10 at best.

No Jason, you’re not getting a 5th coach.

Licht has assembled a .500 roster post SB cap crunch and infused it with a lot of young talent under contract.  The Bucs have at least 50 players under contract for 2026 with a lot of key players in the fold.  That is good roster management and planning by Licht, Greenberg and the FO team.

Licht though must find a way to find impact players on defense like he did with Winfield Jr and T. Smith but for the front seven via the draft and free agency in 2026 as this is his make or break year.  I do not care about what people say about Diaby and Dennis but these guys are playing their draft status and then some.  Dennis clearly looked improved in the final few games as he was flying around sideline to sideline and Diaby is a quality starter.  Parrish and Morrison look like keepers, and McCollum has exceeded expectations based on his draft status but he can and should be better with a better CB coach.

Hall, Braswell and Kancey really have been underwhelming for a variety of reasons as they were all drafted higher than Diaby, E. Roberts and Dennis.  Nick Jackson, Izien and JJ. Roberts look like great value finds. Nelson was a good value selection and he is still with the Bucs.  Vea was a hit for Licht but his lone one that high on defense along with Winfield Jr.

Licht needs to draft 2 studs on defensive front seven and sign 2 key free agents to augment the front seven.

Vea, Kancey and Roberts are your mainstays in the front.  Diaby has one end spot locked up.  Dennis could emerge as a starter or be a quality reserve.

So right now on paper Licht needs to draft an EDGE, ILB and find a veteran DT and LDE to addo to that front seven.

Everything else regarding Bowles, new OC and adding talent on offense takes a back seat.

Bucs are no longer in cap crunch and they have all their draft picks.  This will be Licht's biggest test.

This sort of matches what many have said which is that on defense Licht has drafted starters, but not stars.  There is no killer player that other teams game plan but hes drafted a good number of solid players

I don’t think Diaby fits the defense. I see him as a 4-3 LE. I think he’s another player we can throw in for a Crosby to reduce the draft capital we have to give up. Sign Hendrickson to replace him.

With the right group we can go to the superbowl , talent is there.

Get another reliable edge rusher. Not having Kancey did affect our season in a big way he’s one of our alphas.Just in the way he communicates and teaches the other guys. Keep JPP he’s giving yaya his “vocal edge”

Hall should stay he is this era will gholston.

Need to start spending capital on defense. An offense with Godwin Evans Egbuka is still scary.

Let Godwin be the primary slot and create plays for him in 3rd downs, he is one of the best slot wrs I have watched in this game and have no doubt with the right mind he can be back

If Evans retires sometime down the line I would throw money at Puka he is that good, in the future.

Corners need to be developed

Need to find our next HOF linebacker I’m sure he’s coming soon

I always like at least one downhill lay the wood safety even if we have interchangeable safeties the big hit ability puts fear into the wrs head

Hall isn't that consistent and teams do not game plan for him.  Not sure I want see him back as a Buc.  Bucs need to swing for the fenches and try to improve at LDE, OLB an both ILB spots.  Throw in a quality NT or undertackle to throw into the rotation.

Re-signing Gaines, Hall, etc would be a bad omen if the team thinks they can run it back mostly the same crew on the front seven. I mean the Bucs have had four different nickle CB starters four straight years running.  That mentality of looking for constant upgrades must happen for their front seven or else they are settling for mediocrity in the front seven.
