"There is no luck" is a dumb statement all on it's own.Even IF there was, he probably would not be traded. And IF he was, with the way you guys seem to be, I doubt anyone would have the balls to pull the trigger.I surely hope lovie has the stomach to do what needs to be done. Something most here can't handle, and take a chance one season on a good qb from draft. These cheap qb's and "value" signings are downright laughable.Glennon can't carry this team, and he's not a "baller." The best he can do is just not screw up. That's the kind of qb you want starting on your team, when it's fairly easy to improve?

You can always look again next year....but you can't make a franchise QB appear when he he is not really there . He's not . There is no Luck in this draft .Glennon is not that bad , improve around him and see what happens.

Can't say it? Can't say I think Glennon is the qb that will finally be the 'one' for the bucs?  If you can't then why would the bucs stop looking - and potentially wasting another year. For me I don't care about Glennon - I just want to finally have a franchise or close to franchise qb.  I just don't seen Glennon as that so I would keep shopping.  But I would be delighted if he did become such a talent that the bucs could stop shopping for a qb.  What is the downside - having two franchise qb?  Hell - trade one and collect a mint from another team in need?

Not anticipating a QB that is a lock to be better than Glennon being available at 7 and I definitely don't see one in the free agency class. Sign a veteran, draft a mid-round prospect, and roll with Glennon for a year. That is the most prudent thing to do. Especially considering how deep this draft is at every  position besides QB.

What needs to be done exactly? Use a few of our precious draft picks to trade up amidst the best draft class Jason Licht has ever seen?

Exactly. And especially if they have a qb they feel can be legit.I'd trade both bowers (2nd round), and Clayborn (1st) for a qb in a heartbeat.

There is too much risk with these QBs. They all have as many flaws in their pro-game right now as Glennon does. Not necessarily the same flaws, but flaws none-the-less.

If Glennon turns out to be very average in 2014, and it's obvious that he needs to be replaced in 2015, we would still be in better shape than having two average QBs and a depleted roster with an empty draft cupboard. Can't justify a trade up. Not this year. If we were picking at one it would be a different story.

Glennon will be good if everything is perfect around him ie no injuries good coaching strong defense. Basically every player has to up their game around him for him to be good. Unfortunately very rarely do all these things happen. He's doesn't have that kind of talent to overcome these deficincies which are bound to come up. He's not a franchise guys hes a guy u can get by with but probably won't lead you to where we all want to go (super bowl).

That is a complete crock of sht right there.  He spent large parts of last season "being good", when everyone around him was being sht.

'doc - you be careful now- you Glennonista side is showing.  I hope the kid becomes the next Brady as well - but I haven't seen that indication that comes to you so easily.  And Delores - you going to set in with being a Glennonista or not?

Like to know where I said he was the next Brady.  Was it when I said I'd be happy drafting Manzeil at 7?  Or maybe where I said I'd be down with drafting Murray?Nobody knows what we have with Glennon, I'm sorry I can't agree with your conviction you saw enough to think we have.  I think it's possible he may never improve.  I think he may also become a Schaub/Flacco type guy.  Which all things considered could be good enough.  I don't see a Rex Grossman type ceiling on him, I think he's probably better than that.  But I can't say I know for a fact what he is or isn't based on what we saw last year and the circumstances he was thrown into.  I did see bright spots which apparently you and others never noticed, that's why I called that a crock of sht and I stand by that.  I saw a lot of things that looked pretty bad too.  Guess it has to be all one way or the other though these days.

Just finished waiting years for a qb - and didn't take a second bc of the feeling Freeman would step up.  He didn't in spite of the hopes and beliefs by the buccaneers.  Not interested in betting on one guy - get another in - the first time the new managers feel confident in the pick and the player matching up in value.  As for risk - all on one roll with Glennon - frankly from my view that is a terrible bet.  Even if we won and he became a good qb it would be beating the odds. And if Glennon were very average that is enough with the right team around him.  So far he just isn't - and there are several coming out who look to be better than Glennon.  Not just the top couple - the kid from 'bama, and Murray of Ga both have accomplished more at a higher level than Glennon iirc... and both will be available in the second to later rounds.  Want yac - starting throwing the second and third receivers - Tjax isn't the guy.  Might even find out the others are open - and should get the ball more than they do.  So yes you use picks - trading down for more if possible - but not knowing and believing they have a guy at QB that is part of the starting future is just not a good move.

The Falcons better replace Ryan then because that is exactly what happened in Atlanta last season.  ;)

Are you going to get another teams GM drunk in order to make that trade?

So he was tied for 12th in air yards per attempt but dead last in yards after catch of those 46 QBs listed.  That is what I (and other Glennon supporters) mean by saying he needed some help.  That doesn't mean he needs an all-pro at every position, but average would be nice.Average % of total yards coming after the catch for all 46 QBs listed is 47.6%.  Glennon had 35.5% of his yards come after the catch.  To put him at league average you would have to increase his yac by 34%.  Doing so would put his total yards on the season to 2923.  Expanded to 16 games would be 3598 yards.Assuming the numbers on that linked site are correct giving Glennon recievers capable of league average yac over 16 games would have put him at 3598 yards.  Not bad for a rookie.

Or maybe, just maybe it means he needs better ball placement on his throws so that the receiver has a chance to catch & run.I saw a hell of a lot of throws where the lack of yac was more on Glennon than the guy catching the ball.

Mike-Glennons-Girlfriend-Jess-Wetherill-Facebook3_Zps11F39821.JpgMike Glennon's girlfriend Jess Wetherill

The brother is livin large. Pulling in some top shelf trim.  I take that as a good sign.  I would rather see him chasing trim, than staying home and playing with his pet snakes.
