True sunny, they could definitely use him. However, to them it might be a question of value vs. usage. They could get a first for him with NOTHING to hold them back. No money, nothing. Sure he CAN play in lovie's system, but he doesn't NEED to. Personally, I would keep him, but in a predominately zone coverage defense, his use may be somewhat limited (like we saw with schiano's zone crap).Point is, it might just be too tempting for lovie not to sell revis off. A first coming up would allow us to get whoever lovie wants. Maybe even a qb AND de.To me, that's a tough one.

To me having a corner like Revis is always a good thing.  But, I can see where it would be tempting to package him and their first round choice to move up and take another teams first in order to get Clowney or the OT from A&M.  Especially if they could get Tillman in FA.  Also, remembering back to the last game of the 2012 season, the Bucs played predominantly a Tampa 2 defense that day and the DBs looked the best they had all year....and there was no Revis or Banks.

I am having a hard time envisioning Revis on the Bucs roster in 2014. We don't need Revis....and he's getting old. I would rather have Justin Gilbert straight up. He is going to screw this franchise up exactly how he did the Jets. He won't renegotiate. There is a reason Jets fans call him MEvis.

Revis is overpaid, he can't live up to his compensation. It was a bad signing because the picks + the 2-3 quality CB's we could have had in the same FA period would have better served the franchise. That said, he will be here right until the $16m contract affects the cap. They should under no circumstances redo his deal. He is a perfect asset right now in that he is disposable. When you get into trouble is when you start converting these silly deals into guaranteed cash and you wind up like Dallas with a crap ton of dead money.
