Mike Evans injury: Buccaneers receiver returns to practiceBy Sander Philipse Jun 2, 2015 Evans_Zpsigr7Gtkr.jpg  Kim Klement-USA TODAY SportsThe Tampa Bay Buccaneers saw Mike Evans return to practice today after leaving OTAs with a hamstring sprain on Thursday, Scott Smith noted on Twitter. That's good news, obviously. Apparently his injury was indeed minor, and hamstring injuries are pretty common in the NFL anyway. Amusingly, Evans suffered a more serious hamstring straing last season but had no problem suiting up for nearly the entire season, playing very well indeed. No news on Ali Marpet's tweaked hamstring, though, which may be a bigger issue given that he's a rookie lineman who has no experience playing against even Division I competition, let alone NFL players. We'll have to wait and see how that develops.Meanwhile, this is what Jameis Winston looked like in practice today.Evans1_Zpsbge2Vyvk.pngVIDEO LINKBucs OTAs: Gerald McCoy Sounds Off on Jameis Winston, D-Line Areas of Improvement By  Jenna Laine June 2, 2015 Gerald_Zpskqzgblpm.png  VIDEO LINKBucs’ Gerald McCoy: Communication Needs to Improve Along the Defensive LineAfter a recent OTA practice, Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive tackle Gerald McCoy spoke about getting back into the groove of things. He offered his opinions on Jameis Winston and gave an assessment on what the defensive line needs to improve on from last year, with communication being a major issue.“He’s a first-overall pick. Of course you see the talent,” McCoy said of Winston. “You’ve got to give it some time, guys. Everything is real basic right now. Until we put on pads and I can actually chase him, then I’ll tell you how good he is.”McCoy also said that despite not being able to put on pads, this time of year is crucial for the defensive line because it’s when the unit can work on its nonverbal communication.“The difference in this year is our communication, the nonverbal communication where guys can just sense and feel what each other is thinking, react and cover each other up. That’s what we’re really working on and trying to be better at.”link
