You are guaranteed to land Teddy or Manzeil at #2. How much would you give up to get one of them?Anything more than this years #1, next years #1 and a late rounder is too rich for my blood.

Someone good will tall to pick 7, no need to trade up. We only have 5 pocks this year, so i could see us trading back as being a more likely scenario.

I wouldnt pay more than our 1st this year and our 1st next year.  more than fair compensation for them moving back 5 spots since they are not looking to draft a QB.

I see no reason for St. Louis to take anything less than what they received from Washington.

they have two options.  stay put or take the best deal they can get. they probablywont receive any Washington type offers.

Then if I'm them I stay put. They already have the #2 overall pick, their own 7 draft picks and an undetermined pick from Indianapolis. Not to mention any possible compensatory picks they may receive from letting Stephen Jackson walk.

It would probably take our 1st, 2nd, and a 1st next year to beat out the other teams seeking to jump up. Don't do it.

the value is whatever st.louis says it is , plain and simple. they hold all the cards , no one else. to suggest anything else is assinine. there, got that off my chest.lol. but to answer your question , i would not be comfortable moving up , too expensive and at # 7 there will be plenty of great players left. stay pat and take the best player or move back if someone wants our pick. lesson in life here , never deal at a disadvantage.

Yeah, trading up from 7 to 5 I can imagine, should the cards fall in the right way.  Trading up to #2 will cost far too much given the prospects who will be available.  I think MUSCLE_HAMSTER is being wildly over-optimistic about the price.

Draft picks are always overvalued by fans. If you feel like player A is worth the picks, go for it. Especially if player A is going to be the face of the franchise and dictate the W/L every Sunday. You gotta take risks at some point. Your not just going to get a QB by just one falling into your lap, it doesn't work like that and you buffoons wonder why we haven't had a QB stability since Doug Williams. Its only a problem when you trade away future picks, consistently. This team has plenty of young talent at key positions so I'm with the idea of trading up for a QB, mainly Bridgewater.
