In fact, the Packer press is talking about their defense letting their offense down because Love "finished 29 of 49 for 284 yards and two touchdowns against Tampa. It gave him his seventh game this season with a quarterback rating of over 100."
So, what is wrong with Bowles defense?
A) Nothing
B) key players NOT performing
C) lacking talent
D) Outdated system?

guess he is sticking to his system/scheme even though these players can't play it good enough. we are passing defense desaster! if he could figure that out, which he obviously can't, we would be a good playoff team. as it is we are WC cannon fodder at best!

Not sure he has a choice, but agree with "these players cant play it."
Maybe someone who tracks the stats can see if reality matches perception, but its doesn't seem like the blitz gets home as much (LVD now the blitzing LB?) and the DEs dont seem to create much of the pressure, so that probably leave an underperforming and in experienced defensive backfield pretty exposed? Just a guess

Combination of basically everything.
- Not getting enough from the highest paid, highest drafted players.
- I hate delayed blitzes. They ran one on a 3rd and medium/long, the blitzers came from so far away they didn't threaten Love and it was just 3 on 3 in the secondary playing man. If you're playing man 0 the ball has to come out of the QB's hands immediately.
Love missed a wide open TD on a RPO on 2nd and goal in the 1st (incorrectly handed the ball off) Then on 3rd and goal Hall split a double team and saved a TD. It was the best play of his career and the announcers, who were having a rough day, didn't even mention it.
it seems we start strong but the defense gets figured out in the second half.

B, C, and D, some of each. Pass rush and coverage as we all know go hand in hand. I feel the biggest problem is lack of pressure on the QB. The pass rush needs to get there quicker. No defensive backfield can cover for 4-5-6 seconds, especially the Bucs [smirk]. Look at what the Bills pass rush did to the Cowboys yesterday. Prescott [MVP-like season] had a horrible game mainly because he couldn't find his receivers before getting pressured/sacked. You can make a very good QB look very average with an effective pass rush. The Bucs simply don't have it.
