Something has to give.
The Eagles brought in guard Chance Warmack on the NFL's first day of free agency. They re-signed guard/center Stefen Wisniewski on the second day. And they tell anyone who will listen how much they like 2016 third-round draft pick center/guard Isaac Seumalo.
So where does that leave Jason Kelce, the team's starting center for the past six seasons? Likely on the trading block. Whether it happens over the next few days, or closer to the draft, which takes place April 27-29, Kelce is going to be shopped and could be on another team for the 2017 season.
Here are five teams that might be interested in the 29-year-old two-time Pro Bowl center.
Cincinnati Bengals: The Bengals have lost two starting linemen -- Kevin Zietler and Andrew Whitworth -- in free agency already and may want a veteran presence to anchor a new-look line. It would also return Kelce to the city where he played his college football for the Bearcats.
Denver Broncos: The Broncos have had problems across the offensive line and may want a veteran in the middle to direct traffic and be a presence. He could also be very helpful if the Broncos turn the quarterback job over to second-year man Paxton Lynch.
Minnesota Vikings: The Vikings may have had the worst line in the league last season. Injuries took away their starting tackles and it just got worse from there. Offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur knows Kelce well and seems to have a say in personnel decisions. It would re-unite Kelce with quarterback Sam Bradford.
Tampa Bay Bucs: The Bucs seem to think they can unseat the Falcons in the NFC South and making moves to win now. They have a hole at center and a veteran such as Kelce may be the answer for a team on the rise.
Los Angeles Rams: A new coaching staff in L.A. means changes. The Rams were in need of a center anyway and if second-year man Jared Goff is going to be the starting quarterback, a steady experienced center in Kelce could do a lot of good.
