Seems awfully quiet regarding Bill Cowher considering all the HC vacancies. And the Glazer boys do like to make a splash.
They do indeed, but it seems Cowher has long made it clear that he's done coaching. Who needs the stress once the competitive fires have died out?
You're right. Just throwing it out there cause I haven't heard anything with him and that's usually the type of Glazer hire. Thief in the night with no leaks to the press.
He needs a staff and a plan. I hope like hell he can help us. Those last few years with DA BAERZ weren't great IMO
Lovie's plan includes Tedford, Frazier, Sporano, Marinelli.
How are we going to get Frazier and Marinelli? Surely both can't be DC and Cowboys are probably not going to let Marinelli leave for a lateral position.
If the league still allows it, Marinelli could be DL coach and Asst. Head Coach.
Does anyone think the Tampa 2 can still work in this league?

You're sure right about that. Let's hope they've learned to move more quickly than they have in the past, though, which means they can't keep all of the news as hidden because agents, friends, etc., will talk.

Not without Brooks, Sapp, Barber.
Bucman:Don't get me wrong... first, I only know the owners were huddling weeks back and deciding if they were going to pull the trigger. That I know without a doubt. Who they have in mind, I don't know, except I suspect highly that they've already spoken at length to Lovie Smith prior to pulling the plug. Third, I'm not saying that if Smith is hired he WILL get all the guys he wants, I'm just telling you the guys I'm almost positive he wants.

They did fire Schiano pretty early so my guess is they've identified his successor. Whoever they hire is going to have to fix this last place offense, we really suck on that side of the ball.

That would be a dream staff. Most likely would take a Cowboys house cleaning on D for it happen.
First, DTG I missed your insight. Welcome back!Next, could you tell us a little more on Tedford? I know he was mentioned as a potential HC candidate when the Bucs fired Gruden but I honestly don't watch much Pac-12 football. Hasn't he been out of coaching for a few years?I think getting Frazier or Marinelli would be awesome...both? Wow. Hope the Cowboys do a Monte purge. Frankly, with the three levels covered in Sapp (McCoy), Brooks (David) and Lynch (Goldson/Barron) as well as a better Ronde (Revis), I think the Bucs could dominate with Tampa Two. Could be a waste of Revis, though. They'd need a Simeon to complete the package.
The "Tampa Two" has been renamed "Drew Brees' B*tch."
Is she Hot?
Hotter than a wide open tight end in the seam all day long.

I hope this is true... I just drooled on my keyboard.

First, I have nothing of substance to share on Tedford. Second, I don't know why people automatically assume that the Bucs will run T2 if Lovie is hired.

All boils down to QB play, IMO. Those coaches that have had success in this league have usually had rock-solid if not, fantastic play at the QB position.
