Good god. I popped into this thread when it was brand new. So glad I took the time to pop back in and read all that insight. Also, welcome back DTG.

Ok, ya got me.
First, DTG I missed your insight. Welcome back!Next, could you tell us a little more on Tedford? I know he was mentioned as a potential HC candidate when the Bucs fired Gruden but I honestly don't watch much Pac-12 football. Hasn't he been out of coaching for a few years?I think getting Frazier or Marinelli would be awesome...both? Wow. Hope the Cowboys do a Monte purge. Frankly, with the three levels covered in Sapp (McCoy), Brooks (David) and Lynch (Goldson/Barron) as well as a better Ronde (Revis), I think the Bucs could dominate with Tampa Two. Could be a waste of Revis, though. They'd need a Simeon to complete the package.
First, I have nothing of substance to share on Tedford. Second, I don't know why people automatically assume that the Bucs will run T2 if Lovie is hired.
Because that's what he's ran as a DC and HC. He may very well change that, but It's a logical assumption to make.

True, people never learn, change, or grow.
Lovie also ran man coverage a lot towards the end of his tenure in Chicago. No team plays zone or man for a whole game anyways so it's really a moot point.

Pretty sure I covered his option to change what he's done his entire career. You asked why people assumed why he would do something he's done his entire career, and your question was answered. It's pretty clear why people make that assumption.
The Glazers are not selecting any position coaches as far as I know. All I know is that for a number of weeks they've been prepared to make this move, and that includes having a pretty good idea of what they intend to do at GM/HC. I don't know what that is, but I do know that they've been preparing for this eventuality. They're not at all happy about the performance on the field.
Lol, this is why I never bought into the idea that Schiano was safe. The Glazers conduct business way too quietly for any of the media to say for sure that a coach is safe after a season like that.
I think the team's performance the last few weeks sealed the fate along with the opportunity to make a "splash" hire.

Yeah, I know, I was just be a turd. Sorry, Biggs.
I think that's why the Lovie hire doesn't excite me. I'm afraid he might stick with the T2 and I'm done with coaches that refuse to adapt.
He had Peanut Tillman playing a whole lot of man his last couple years.

You're describing Schiano haha.
