For starters, I'm the biggest Winston fan around, but he stunk yesterday. So did the OLine. So did the WRs (two more drops - maybe 3 - by Evans!)
.
The defense played well, but there was NO pass rush ... again.
This team is the most incohesive team I've ever seen. One unit rarely compliments the other. When the offense struggles the defense never picks them up; the same can be said when the roles are reversed. There are a lot of talented individuals on the the Bucs, but the the Bucs are not a "team". They have no identity and this is all on Licht and Koetter. Koetter said he wants a "bas ass" team, but we are probably the softest team in the league (bad ass to training camp, huh). We need a GM that is going to address are greatest needs (OT, DE) and a HC who runs a tight ship. So, for starters Licht and Koetter HAVE to go.
Second, if you want a badass team then draft like you want one.
Let's say that we have the #5 pick in the draft, which sadly, is a great possibility. This is what I want.
RD 1 - DE Bradley Chubb - NC ST
RD 2 - OT - Martinas Rankin - Mississippi State
RD 3 - DE - Duke Ejiofor - Wake Forest
RD 4 - CB - Tony Brown - Alabama - uber talented; just hasn't clicked for him yet
RD 5 - CB - Danny Johnson - Southern - 5'9'blazer. All he does is make plays. Would make a great nickleback
