What has this guy done to be considered a starting CB? I've don't recall any highlight plays from him, but sure have many memories of him being burnt... Over hyped and under performing player. He can't cover a sneeze.
Maybe his girl cheated on him or something
He's a loafer whos got his contract and lacks urgeny in his play. gets beat by mesh conccepts and loafs to the guy to push him out of bounds. His conditioning is ass now, and money made him lose the dawg in him. everything ive noticed over the 2 seasons but been giving him the benefit of the doubt but he just toasted by hungry dawgs in noah brown and tank dell, and dalton shcultz cooking him.
Dean same play dropped off looked like he came in 10-15lbs heavier just on the tv and lost an extra step getting fat over the offseason so slow and stiff coming in n out of breaks and flipping his hips.
those 2 guys are playing 1-2 steps slower since their contract

This right here.
Him and Dean both, along with White.
He’s always been over rated. The Gerald McCoy of CB’s.
I’ve always thought these corners were overrated even during the championship run. They may make a few plays here & there but constantly get burnt/can’t locate the ball and are always injured. Boys got paid then packed it in lol
I read that Davis was talking himself up in a pre-game interview?
bad timing lol
Davis is good vs big physical corners. He also plays jump ball wrs well.
Tank Dell is more of a Tyreke... and he struggles vs those quick twitch speedsters.
Dean is just hot and cold. Right now he's fat and happy... getting hurt and playing rusty.
Winfield, David, Barrett, and Vea are carrying this defense.
Over the past few drafts, the Bucs have invested heavily on the defensive side of the ball without getting much in return other than LVD and Vea. Jury is still out on Kancy.
I do not mean to make excuses for our CBs, but I think they play better in man, not zone. I'd like to hear from Bowles on the decision to play so much zone yesterday, considering that's not the strength of his corners. PR's SR was on WDAE this morning and thought the reason for so much zone is because Bowles doesn't trust White or Neal in man.
He's a loafer
I haven't seen that from Davis. He was beat a couple times yesterday, but it wasn't because of lack of hustle. Hell, he was the only one who running down Brown (from the other side of the field) when McCollum and Neal did their clown act routine. Now the tackle attempt was pathetic, but he at least did show effort in getting there. Nobody else did.
There are other guys in the secondary loafing, but Davis wasn't one of them that I saw. I could have missed something though. Give me a play and I'll check it out.
he trash
Dean is the one who looks like he's mailed it in. He got paid this spring and has not shown any urgency on the field. No lie I think this zone based scheme has these guys disinterested or loafing. They don't seem dialed in. Davis has been trying play for his reputation in the league and establish himself as a top cover guy. There's a video of Jamar Chase saying he's the toughest CB he has faced in the NFL. So I think dude just had a bad day in the office and most likely undermined these Texans WR's.
